Description
1975 Ford Granada 3.0 GL Saloon
By NightmareNMX
Thanx to Skoti for his permission to use his 1970 'Cuda for my project
And to Sniper for his permission to use his MCO conversion of the car named above.
Thanx to Max Prez for providing the excellent soundfile Porsche 911 level3
Not exactly the right sound for the V6 but as I've got no skills to edit sound
I find this the closest to what I needed:-) and it is an excellent sound:-)
Many years ago a friend of mine owned a Ford Granada, but his was the plain L series with the 2 litre 4 cylinder engine. But his uncle had a GXL coupe and with all goodies like the V6 and Vinyl top,if I recall right that car was a couple of years newer.I never forget that great sound of the engine when accelerating so maybe that is why it stucked in my mind:-)
This was a common car in late 70's and expecially in the 80's,it was a soft ride with european standards but in long trips not many other cars of the time had the same comfort.Even if it was popular it had its share of problems, like water could leak in to the trunk and if you had sunroof well there was another source for leaking. It was also a real thirsty car and digged big wholes in your wallet every time you made a long trip:-)The V6 had some issues and needed some care well it loved oil too,and many times you could see how well the owner cared about it,the bigger blue cloud behind it the less care:-)
But I loved the car back then, and still do,whatever problems it had or have:-)
As usuall I do not claim it to be 100% accurate but close:-)
The car is fast and reach about 190 mph and will leave the competitors behind
Hope you like my attempt for a car:-)
Regards

nice car btw.
About the screenshot,I'll do one in the only way I can cause I've only got an onboardgrahpics in my pc and some software to improve it:-)
But I'll try to make a better one and post it within the zip of my next post.
Thanx for your comment and happy you like my attempt
Regards
Thanx again

Greate work!
Regards
The one that I had was only a 2,0 L 4 sylindre. It was my first car but it was an ok car that time. I later bought a Granada 2,6 or 2,8 v6 1981 and it was an ok car too. But ofcause, its far from best ;)
A friend of mine had the 4 cylinder too and later he bought a an 85 or 86 with the 2,8 but he liked the 4 cylinder better cause it was not that heavy in the front:-)
Not the best for sure, and my first was not either the best car to own,a 1975 Ford Taunus 1,6 L:-) the main problems with Fords back then was the brakes I think:-) if you forget about the rust:-)
Thanx for telling me about your first car
Regards
If so, you are free to convert of mine too.
Good luck:)
Yes,I had the opportunity to work with Skoti and he did the conversions and I edited the car to what I wanted:-) but I'm not good at converting cars.Thanx for letting me convert your cars,if these cars are the 70's Fords like the LTD and so on I must say I love the convertions error450 did and don't think I'm able to do it as good as he did them:-)But maybe I try....
Regards
