NFSMW intsallation problem

When I get past the screen agreeing to the thing, this comes up, even though I have DirectX 10.



EDIT: can someone fix the spelling of the title? It says intsall instead of install.

I don't know... f**ked up Windows...
I installed MW whit directX 9 and 10 , no problems like these. Try installing directX 9 first

I tried, but then it says "A newer version of DirectX is on your computer. No installation is nessary. Please click Exit."

You might have to download and install the actuall full runtime Dx package...If you can get them..they have many dfferent versions from dx 9.0c for win98 and further up the line for newer systems.

take a look under the direct x and microsoft downloads section, I think it is called, or if you need more ino, ask in the forum there...

After you find a way to install an older dx..then you can install the newesr or newest dx...

So far, i tried the bottom link here http://www.falconfly.de/directx.htm and the same dang thing happens when I try to install NFS MW.

EDIT: If some of you didn't notice, I'm using Windows Vista Home Premium.
