i can't run NFSC on Vista Ultimate

My system is:
Windows Vista Ultimate
AMD Sempron 3000+, 1,8 Ghz
1024 MB RAM
80 GB HDD
ATI Radeon 9550 265 MB

I install the game,and after it starts and shows the EA logo thing, the game exits and Windows gives an Error report.....I tried the 1.4 Patch but doesn't installs itself good.....it says that some files are missing.....please help me!!!!:(

It's not showing off... I'm just showing him that if a com with crappy specs like mine can run Carbon, no one else's shouldn't not be able to.
