How to sketch blueprints?

well, i was thinking that we have got a hell of blueprints .. so how were these made? actually i have to make blueprint of a car shooted from a normal camera... so what should I do now? use some software or some pencil/paper work and scan it or what?

please help

or at least that how Blueprints are made?
