Winshield vinyls

Hi,
I see Luc's comment and I'd like to help it, but even though I attempt to modify this vinyls I don't success...

¿Anyone knows the secret of the DX1 (or DX3 I don't know now) DDS files?
I open both files (side ones and winshield ones) and I only see a white or black bakground (according to the file opened) but without a picture or a mask...

Heya DaBeast.  I was interested in this too, googled and found this thread http://www.nfscars.net/forum/archive/index.php/t-17071.html.
After reading right way through, and looking at things, I managed with info there, by renaming a couple of files, to import a decal from NFSU2, the NOS one , it works ingame, but, I still can't/wasn't able to edit any of the exported textures at all, just blank like you said, pretty much.  I guess it has something to do with the Method section shown in mwtex.
I would like to turn the headlights off for one thing, I mean, it is DAY TIME in MW lol, and when I want to look at vinyl on bonnet in game, the flare of headlights is a tad annoying.  Let me switch them off

PS, scroll down to August should tell you most of what I learnt to import a decal, though there is some interesting stuff earlier on in the thread.
Just had a thought too, maybe you can make your own decal and import this way and will work still ! ?  Just can't edit the ingame ones this way.
