Hey.

Getting around the forums is quite easy, except I have a couple suggestions. Sometimes when I want to "Return Home" I need to scroll all the way back up to the top. So maybe a "back to top" link every 7-8 posts maybe? This other idea might take up too much space, but maybe a box with links of recently-posted forums in the top right, so that people can catch up on forums that people might be waiting a reply for.

there's the jump to option box at the bottom, works under the same principle.


the box with links to the recently posted, is called active forum topics, right on the main page in the center left under the header.  OR just click the link that says "Show new posts since last visit"

my computer is horribly slow and so when i'm scrolling after posting in a thread... it lags... therefore it takes more time to get to the top... click "return home"... then find an active topic. so even if there was a small box in the thread or, like nfscars, a "previous/next thread" link on the bottom to link to another active topic. that would be great! ^^

i'll see what i can do to make that work better. But hitting pageup a few times on your keyboard shouldn't be too diffuclt for the time being

my computer is a 930Mhz P3 lol... got it free from teaching piano... so hopefully you understand my troubles. thanks for looking into it mike

why dont you just hit the button labeled "Home" on your keyboard wo get to top from anywhere on the page?

because i need to load the main page... then pick an active forum which usually is a topic that i have already commented on. so... if there was basically a "prev/next thread" link to random but recently commented topics, then it would save an extra pg loading time.

I'm going to be frank with you. just 2 months ago, I was running a Pentium II 400. a year before that, I was running a Pentium MMX 200. and I was able to use the internet just fine. need I mention I also used dial-up until late 2003. I also, for many many years, had to use lesser hardware compared to the mainstream, such as video cards that were 3 generations too old. my last computer had a 400 MHz motherboard running a gig of 266 MHz ram.


readers digest version: I suffered with far worse hardware and internet connections than you ever have, and it never stopped me. click your forums & threads and load your pages like everyone else.

right now i am suffering a desease called 1.8ghz system and i have 1 gig of DDR400, wheres the prob?

uhhh i need a new system, i cant take this anymore since i got some "issues" with my system right now, people from #nfs know what i am talking about

rick... buddy... i'm playing all my nfs games on my better computer... which is ONLY 1.99ghz amd athlon xp 2400+ 80gb hd 512mb ram 128mb gfx and i'm not even complaining. and anyways... this thread isn't about crappy computers.

btw mike: thx for the attachment option! now i don't need to use imageshack!
