This is just a quick idea..

I have two computers, however they both are horrible.

System 1: emachines T2482
Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 (installed over original Windows XP Home Edition SP1)
AMD Athlon XP 2400+ 1.99 GHz
512MB RAM (installed over 256MB RAM)
80GB HD
128MB nVidia GeForce 6200 (installed over original 32MB S3 ProSavage8)

Runs:
NFS2SE, NFSHP, NFSPU, NFSHP2, NFSU
NFSU2 - half gfx
NFSMW - half gfx with lag >.<
NFSC - low gfx with lots of lag @_@

Fails:
NFSHS - why? just does.

System 2: Custom Compaq Deskpro EN
Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 (installed over original Windows 2000 Professional)
Intel Pentium 3 930 MHz
512MB RAM
20GB HD
32MB nVidia Riva

Runs: NFS2-6 - default gfx settings
Fails: NFS>6 - why? just look at my specs. -.-

The COMPAQ obviously is way worse than the emachines but the stock emachines couldn't even play NFSHP2. I'm planning on getting a Vista soon... except I'll probably get a custom-made. I didn't request the custom Compaq by the way. I got it from my piano student's dad. He doesn't pay me but he gets me free computer stuff.

My custom system:
Windows Vista Ultimate
Intel Core Duo or Viiv (therefore, HP) 3.2 GHz
2GB RAM
320GB HD
1GB nVidia GeForce 7950 X2

Runs? All please. :)

I don't know everything about my PC; I'm not a huge computer wiz, but I do know these basics:

Windows XP Media Center Edition Service Pack 2
960MB Ram
160GB HD  :eek2:
AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3200+
Physical Address Extension

I don't remember my graphics card, but It's quite good. I think it's a Nvida GeForce or something.

Runs: NFS 5 & 10.
Crashes: 3 & 4*
I don't have: 1, 2, 6, 7, 8, 9

*I'm working on High Stakes as we speak though
