I just got Viv Wizard and I was attempting to modify the cars I have in the game so that the AI could have acces to them to make for more choices of car for the Ai to use.  Only some of the cars will keep the changes I make and some of them will let me change the setting to let them be used by the AI but after I save, the setting is back to not allowing the AI access to the car.  Can anyone help me with this???

Why don't you use NFS Wizard? It does everything VIVWizard can, and more.

As far as I can tell, if the cars are in the Data/Cars folder instead of the SaveData/Cars one (the only addon cars placed in the latter are the EA official ones), the AI will automatically be able to choose them for racing, like in NFS4.

HUH?  There isn't a savedata directory in NFS3.  And so far the AI has been able to use the 360 Modena and a FNF Supra I d/led and they are just in the gamedata/carmodel directory.

But using NFS Wizard is a good idea.

I thought there was, since, in NFS4, the AI can only use the official addon cars if you are using them as well. This is because their VIV files aren't placed in the folder they are supposed to be, but in the folder which contains saved information about your choices (colour, tuning) when you select the car. If you don't use them in races, the AI acts as though they don't exist in the game.

If you have problems opening NFS Wizard's installer, then right-click the executable, click on "Properties", "Compatibility" and set the compatibility option to "Windows 98/ME".

Well, the compatibility option is unnecessary, because I am running win98se, but I already have NFS Wizard installed and I will try it instead of Viv Wizard.  I thought that NFS Wizard was more for NFS4 cars than NFS3 cars, or am I wrong?  And some of the changes I made with viv wizard stuck, such as with the supra I mentioned, so I'll just try to change the attributes of more cars and see if they stay changed or revert to the original settings.

using nfs wizard for nfs3 is a bad idea i think.. because some features in viv wizrd are different from  nfs wizard. like the fedata editor and some other things... secondly u cant see the nfs3 car model in nfs wizard.

well, if u want to make the cars available to AI, choose "yes" in the fisr tab from the drop down list, entitled, "Available to AI" ... and here you go.
A desperate man, All things can.

I found a way to do it using Viv Wizard, which I also have, but thanks for the advice.
