NFS2(SE) definitely for me. The different feeling with the music on every single of them is just great (Monolithic Studios is unbeaten).

Maybe is just my opinion, but before nfsu, all the locations where really similar, and I have found the same places in different games, even between nfs2 and hp2(with the jungle, the beach).
Historically, all the locations where the same: the beach, the town, the jungle, the desert with canyons, the city, and something else like Monolitic Studios, jejeje.
And after Underground, I think that they have had some problems to find good locations because they should do something realistic, like a city and something more, like canyons, posh district in the mountains, Highway, etc.

For me the best tracks are in HP2.

RiCkT

oh yeah nfsu was boring after 20 hours, the races where all the same.
i loved nfs5 for such DIFFERENCE in tracks.

nfs2-6 all had really great tracks. I miss the variations nowadays.

Yes. The underground series suck everything of it including cars which can be riced upto much extent

As I told you, the similarities between locations of different nfs games is amazing. I have been playing nfs2 trying to remember some places from NFS HP2 and other games, and this is the result:

Do you remember this canyons?

And this ones from NFS3? :)

Lets go to NfShp2 and NFS2:

Desert towns:

Forest short cuts:

Ok. this is not the famous short cut from hp2, but you know what I mean.

Tropical houses (this one is amazing):

Jungle short cut:

I know that is not this place, but I guess that you remember the short cut, well, in fact is not short. :/

Mediterranean cities:

Mediterranean road:

Forest road:

And, tunnels:

ufff. I hope you like it, because I have used three hours of my life. But I have been playing Nfs so I haven't waste my time. ;)

Cool Jaume. But I don't see any major similarity between the tracks.

Yet I do see a similarity in forested tracks between nfshp and nfshp2 (like the trees and rocky edges).

Car Freak

About that tunnel, I think there's an even closer one in NFS3 and 4. I think it was the Rocky Pass track, if i'm not mistaken...

Yeah, that tunnel does look sort of similar to the Rocky Pass tunnel.

Hey, I also noticed that those forest trees look almost exactly like the trees they used in nfspu's Schwartzwald.
