Hey Reight, sorry I'm not much help, but could you describe what the problem is? Once you've selected the HB part, you cannot set the Polygon effects for it, is that it? If so, I'm not sure what the problem may be, I've never had this happen to me.

I've only played with FCE Finish occasionally to alter a few existing cars for my own use, so I'm far from an expert, maybe it's better if an actual car editor has an idea (although I think most editors use Zmodeler to edit their normals).
Hope we can get it solved.

i guess its a matter of normals editing.remko i uploaded just now the car.i will update it hopefully sometime
with an improve mesh.ty for advice anyway :)

Just checked the W123.Not all details are my taste but that's not important.

-Wheels are great with just 128 polies, but they are excentric.Don't know yet how to fix

-Window wipers are in wrong place.Easy to fix with carcad, just select desired vertices and move them to the frontwindow.

-The polygone effect can be fixed by selecting HB part in texturemode (fcefinish) and deselect ''don't chrome''

thank you noise.will do that in the next days.

Edit: already made the "shiny" effect thing. the other points by noise arent that urgent by now imo.
Remko, i updated the car on gtrcars.com...can you change our version here with that new one pls ?
i want to avoid the "two time the same car on list" trouble on the download/releases.ty in adv.
noise, important advice from you mate.ty again i apreciate it.

using "don't chrome" for the HB is not a very elegant way to fix normal issues. What your model lacks simply are normals. All polygons are joined, thats why your mesh doesn't have any hard borders. Take a look:

Okay, I just swapped the file with the updated one from GTR, as you requested (was away all day or I'd have it done sooner).
I took a quick look in the menu to confirm it worked, I could add these screenshots to the W123 page, but let me know in case you'd want the old 'chrome-less' pictures removed.

I also wanted to say I appreciate that this car now lets you make your own custom paint colour, I know I'd regret it in the past if an NFS HS car didn't have this feature.

I'm glad you made the shine work, sounds like you solved it much the same way I turned the chrome 'back on' on your Hudson Hornet last week. Although that was just a quick job by me with no surface detaching or anything. Like Freak illustrates, car meshes can still look a lot sharper and smoother with more work and attention to detail.

tnx alot remko.yes sure you can change the screenshot if you want.
idd, i need to learn freakys normals editing lesson.
