Vauxhall Monaro VXR/HSV GTO and GTS/Pontiac GTO for NFS4

It's been like 5 months since the Impreza...

Time to announce a new project. :D

HSV Coupé GTO (2005)







HSV Coupé GTS (2002)







Vauxhall Monaro VXR (2005)







These cars were based on a mesh from MW. The GTS has tweaked bumper and hood, and a new exhaust modeled by me (my first modelling effort :P ). Sorry for not showing any Pontiac pics... It's not fully remapped yet.

These cars will also feature new sounds (I may change my ideas on request):

- Pontiac GTO: MW upgraded GTO

- Vauxhall Monaro VXR/HSV GTO: MW stock Monaro

- HSV GTS: MW stock Corvette

Once the cars are finished, I will probably make the cop version of the Pontiac, which will replace the Pursuit Camaro (mecha hasn't made a Pursuit Camaro SS, so a Pursuit GTO would fit into this gap).

Pontiac GTO is almost ready. Here are some pics:







I'll fix the alpha channels on the back of the car (the lower GTO badge... probably won't look the same as in MW but I'll see what I can do). After that, it will be almost complete, with only the dummies to go.

I was very close to buying a GTO before I bought my truck... glad to see one converted to NFS:HS. Good work so far :)

I couldn't use the MW textures because the result would not look very nice (check out SLZ's conversion of Sergeant Cross' car to see what I mean). So I did a basic retexture of the cop car (which is bodykitted, and thus, a little different from the regular GTO). The polycount won't exceed 7,000.

Unfortunately the game crashes with two GTO cruisers and two high poly cars at the same time (even if I use low poly traffic cars)... So it won't be possible to use it as one of the standard EA police cars, unless you wish to play as the racer (in which case there will be only one cruiser, as the player will not be in the role of the cop). I can't understand why no one tried to crack the EXE file, considering NFS4 is the most popular game in the series and the file itself should be far less complex than those of today's games.

Thanks Remko, also, can I request that you make some pics for my cars when I upload them here? You make some awesome previews...

Polycount on the cop has gone past 7,000 (it's at around 7,600), but it's still playable at least on Getaway mode.

police car looks great, its kind of sad though that it looks better in zmod then ingame, due to the age of the thing...
