WESTBLADE

Well, some of you might know this from nfscars, but i decided to post it here anyway:D

This one was started on 22nd December 2006, so it's quite time consuming car, but it's worth it (at least i hope so). It's going to be for HP2 (if the poor old engine can handle that) and this is what i got so far:

Must model interior and one small engine grill. Everything is 3D (even holes in screws) and the polycount is quite...well... 72.1k polygons :ugh:

Any C&C?:)

Hey WESTBLADE... just noticed that you're a new member. About your Zonda... wow... 72.1k polys. You may not have matched the 248k poly lp640 here at nfsaddons but still incredible detail in your car. I'm just not sure if the headlights are exactly that big. However... still a high-quality product. Maybe you could try making it for NFSMW? Just a suggestion, since 72k will look really nice in MW. ^^

The headlights are really that size:

:p

About NFSMW, i don't know, that would mean detaching A LOT of parts OR redo whole normals. Nothing i would do with pleasure...

I thought about ''rendering'' the car in TrackMania United, since that game has beautiful graphics engine and scenery. But i think importing into that game might be a problem since there's not much good tutorials on the net :(
Maybe i'll try combo 3DSMax 9 & VRay 1.5 R3 :cool:

RiCkT

hi Westblade, ...good work on the car...
...i think MW's engine can handle those 72.1XX polys...
thoo i think you could bring it down to 60.000 with some tweakings.

i like the work on the rims, they looks really greatly detailed.

well i thought i'll comment on the car instead of bitching about you for once...
and thanks for reminding me that i should update my Vray :)

WEST, when it's done i might have a shot for ya. As far as i know, MW can handle up to a bit over 195k polies :D.

monkey.wesley

the headlights still look bigger compared to that pic. i don't know... it's your zonda. anyways... considering that mw can handle just over 195k... murcielagos's lp640 exceeds that by at least 50k! man... but i'll be waiting for this zonda!

Definitely a work of art. I wish I was as skilled as you... :D

ToyotaWish

Yay HP2! Anyway, the 72.1k polys aren't a problem. The more the merrier! :D

:eek3:
That is a sweet piece of work...
Lead me not to temptation....I can find it on my own

XJ220

Awesome! :eek: How long did it take to only model the "Zonda F" lettering?

WESTBLADE

@RiCkT
Well, i could save some polygons on the engine pipes, but that's all i think. The rest needs to be detailed like that to look cool :D

@HSVDrifter
I'm not denying it would look awesome in MW, but the car isn't build for that game, it's build specifficaly for HP2 and Racer, so the conversion might be though :(

@monkey.wesley
They are modeled from a photo, so how can they be bigger?
It might be the Zmodeler's fish-eye perspective camera, so they might look bigger than they actually are.

@Zpectre
Thanks

@ToyotaWish
Well, the polycount isn't final, i expect the car to be at least 85k with interior. And it might be problem for those with lowend PC's...:p

@Car Freak
Heh, i hope so :D Thanks!

@XJ220
About 30-45 minutes including normals.
