Hi
i know I'm a year late, owell i haven't had Tv at my apt over a year now.  don't feel like paying the high cost for it is my town Charter cost much. So i got this movie from a yard sale,i Really. Liked that Mustang before,it got al Damaged,an Totaled. :(
I really, thought the Movie had the same kinda Storylines,an Gone in 60 Seconds"?
In parts but i liked the Movie the Supercars was great to see,an hear...
sad on that young kids accident.
so any of you ever see the movie. was intresting, said it was made off
the Nfs games Franchise. : )

I think it is a decent roadmovie. Some cool races. Plot is negligible and feels like a patch-up of various car-movies, though.
But defenitely better than the latest Fast'n'Furious movies imo.  ::)

What other roadmovies you enjoyed? Your TOP5 car movies?

My TOP5:
Gone in 60 Seconds (1974)
Vanishing Point (1971)
Mad Max 2 (1981)
The Fast And The Furious 1 (2001)
Driver (1978)
...
"Drive" movie from 2011 was also nice

Greetings

Honestly, I think it sucks. Esp. the oh so heroic ending. Just let him burn.

Unsure I can even complete a TOP5 list.

If you call Drive a roadmovie, it's up there at the top for me as it's one of my TOP3 movies in general.
When it comes to Vanishing Point, it's the remake for me. The original is just pointless IMO.
Bullitt has to be on my list.
The first The Fast and the Furious as well.

Does Taxi count? Ronin? Lost Highway?

MADMAN_nfs

Oh yeah the famous Bullitt chase :)

@XJ220: thats all great car movies you mentioned
Of course "car movie" can mean many things; from a racing flick to a road movie, what i meant is a film that’s just set among cars in general ...

Movies like Taxi (not Taxi driver), Transporter series or Blues Brothers are a more humorous approach to this genre  ;)
To mention some others: Duel (1971), Hitcher (1986), Christine (1983), Convoy, French Connection, Smokey and the Bandit, DeathRace ...+ 100 others

But you're right its really hard to make a TOP5 there  :D

However, I really think the NFS movie wasn't that bad; but there was nothin you haven't seen before somewhere else... have to admit i only saw it once when it was released though.
btw: i dont even know what was the name of the main character, in my mind this guy was always just Jesse Pinkman from Breaking Bad ^^

XJ220

I thought about Christine as well ^^

And let's not forget about the Cannonball Run :D

The NFS movie... I probably like it less because I do not really like today's super cars either. Still... this morally superior protagonist, the Justin Bieber who died in the crash, the oh so bad yet insufficiently skilled guy. I remember only bits and pieces but I DO remember how glad I was when it was over.

Nowadays I get more pleasure out of movies/tv series where you see rare cars accidently pass by.And camera work is really important. Not a fan of burnouts and smoke.I like ''Bullit'' very much.

I remember movies/TV series by the cars.In the eighties you had Magnum (Tom Selleck).I almost never understood the plot but I was looking out for the moment he stept into his Ferrari 308 GTS.

Or that movie (don't remember the name but it was around '80-'86) with a carchase between a Ferrari Daytona and a Shelby Cobra that made a big impression on me.I'm afraid to see it again, it's probably not good at all.

When I park my car on a parking and go shopping or something I tend to focus on cars to find my way back. Not a clever habit offcourse.I remember a street by the car I saw there. When the car is gone I'm lost.

I'm going off-topic I'm afraid

WiLL

Hey, yes i liked old "Christine" movie much to Nasty, Mean, old Sweet Ride lol...
@ Xj220 i agree about the NFS Bad ending of the race part. :)
That it was getting over. but he won the $ i guess?

Yeah, it's hard to think up a Top 5 list owell.
i like what Mman had say about the other,Flicks to.
Them Classics.

@ Noise hi,i can Relate much to your,finding you parking spots using cars : }
