One thing that kind of annoys me. You've got the little blue square that tells you which threads have been updated/created right? Why not do something like that with posts so we can find where the old stuff ends and the new stuff begins. It's sort of difficult, you have too read everything in order too find new stuff.

My thoughts.

Thats why all the posts are in order from first-to-last.

Not everything that counts is counted, and not everything that is counted counts.

The Stig

Right, but you don't know which ones are the new ones....other than the ones at the bottom. See what I mean?

err, no...

If the square is blue, it indicates that one (or more) of the threads in that topic has had new posts since the last time you visited.

Yes, and if the square is blue next too a thread in that topi it means that there are one or more new posts within that thread. BUT you don't know which of those posts are new.

EXAMPLE - Lets say you have a thread with ten posts. you go awy and when you come back a few people have updated it. You open that thread too read the new material and you don't know where the old ends and the new starts. You have too read it all just too find those few posts.

Now do you get what I'm saying?

There is a reason why the date is on top of every post. That tells you when the post was posted.

Even if you can't remember the date when you last visited, it tells you when you first enter the forums. I think you are too lazy to look at the dates.:/ BUT just remember that the posts are in sequential order so it only takes 5 seconds to find new posts.

Car Freak

You could just look at which posts look new from when you last visited, assuming you actually read the last post...

Also, there is a link that says ""[New Posts]" next to threads that have been updated since your last visit. That will take you down to the first new post in the thread :)

Ohhh, did not know that. OK, ranting is complete.
