great idea here. post on this thread the good news going at your area e.g. birthday, and the bad news e.g. reletive died. not that the latter will happen.
I have been active since early 2008. I was a bit stubborn at first, but I soon made friends. I have seen people come and go, but I refused to leave. That lead to me becoming one of this forums most active members during a consecutive two years. But my time has come. It is time for me to depart. Gbye

this is VERY bad news.

friends and fellow users. i bring news from england. on wednesday 10th of september, a swiss machice called the LHC Collider, will activate to bring atoms toghether with almighty force. if anything goes wrong, the worst that could happen is death... to all lifeforms, INCLUDING those in outer space (if there are any). this spells the universes destruction. if such a catastrophy happens, then bend over and kiss your ass goodbye.

It's just a particle accelerator... they have been in use for years. The worst that will happen is the particles won't go around completely. If they do, and they collide (which is intended), then other sensors and computers will capture the results.

The world won't blow up :)

Naw... I was reading about it last week sometime and read an interview with Stephen Hawking.. he basically said it is vital that it works, for the future of humanity... not that we are all going to die soon or anything, but it will help us understand more about the universe and how it was created.

Worst case scenario, the test results in a mini black hole, which would implode on itself and dissipate inside the "test tube".

so again, no need to worry.. unless you find yourself trapped inside the particle accelerator :p
