Anybody here had their wisdom teeth out before?

I gotta get 5 teeth pulled (4 wisdom, one molar that cracked thanks to an impacted wisdom tooth) tomorrow morning. This weekend should be fun

Geez man that news made me feel,:eek3: I Hate the F**** Dentist,they allways Hurt me anyways...
I just go to the Medicaid Dentists, there not so great anyways.
I FEEL for you, Mike i had 2 them pulled out in my 20's.
then the last year,ive had two Molars pulled that just rusted out, i call them. I take care my Teeth but they go bad on me :/ Heredity.
I Broke one my K9 Tooth out,right one, from biting a candy Bar i Learned my Lesson from that . It was a Tooth that was 1/2,drilled away anyways so it wasent so strong.  I still have my front 2 teeth no one knocked them out yet

Are you going to get them to Knock you out, or Gas dont work for me ugh, Mike before they start on you? See my Insurence wont pay for that,Under stuff, I was allways awake and Numb for my Pullings. Also one time they had to use a Bone Saw Drill,on my Left upper Molar it wouldent come out so that was the Worst. Ugh, To much Info. So thats alot my Dentist Sheet, i had to mention. :{
Just take there 800 Milligram Motrins they Prescribe you,and some Tylenals you should be ok after a, 2 weeks, feeling better Buddy. Sorry.. Who will be taking your Spot when you away from the Site BmwSport99 maybe or Remko?

I am getting knocked out for it... They are going to give me nitrous before they put the IV in (I HATE needles), then the IV will have something in it to put me to sleep. They prescribed me a bunch of stuff, including the 800mg Motrin... vicodin, some mouth rinse and some other stuff to prevent swelling that I have to take tonight before I go in.

I had one of my front teeth knocked out playing hockey and getting that fixed didn't both me (I was awake)... but for some reason I'm nervous about this

Make sure you have someone to drive you home, or help you home.... you'll hardly be able to walk if they kick you out as early as they kicked me out

You'll also lose a few days or so...

But it's not a big deal... it feels cool when you're going under.... at least, what you can remember feels cool.... :p
And at least you are being knocked out; I had a friend who stayed awake (like Will) and they took so long that the freezing wore off and he felt it towards the end...

I've never had my molars out.

But depending on the severity of the thing the knock you out with, side effects shouldn't last more than 2 days...

My dad got 2 (i think) wisdom teeth pulled out the last time, went back to work the day after oO

So I got them out today. Wasn't so bad. Got some nitrous before the IV went in, and then within about 5 minutes I was out. Woke up in the recovery area and apparently immediately checked my email on my iPhone and was browsing the internet the entire drive home. I don't remember any of that, though.

No pain yet... but I'm incredibly hungry. Not being able to eat solid food sucks

Im happy your Good & Fine you can eat soft foods just go slow and all that is what i did  those dissovling stitchs take about 7,8 days to come out somtimes they tickle you and you get tired them and take them out your self with sissers? but becarefull. So you had to get on the ISP Rite away huh LoL sound as bad as me Is it uppers or Lowers?

yeah i had all 4 of mine out last august. pretty much same experience as you Mike except they gave me some pills before the IV instead of gas. put me right out.
Oh man the recovery is annoying as hell youve gotta be so careful- one of the stitches came sortof loose about 3 days after (they're supposed to fall out on their own, but it came out a bit early i think) and the socket was bleeding for at least 10 hours straight. Was fine after that though
So yeah.. be careful what you eat..and how you eat it

Yeah, I've only been eating soft foods and not chewing at all. Lots of ice cream and jello, too.

I had my 4 widsom teeth out and two bottom molars that cracked because of the impacting wisdom teeth. So 6 teeth total. Was expecting it to hurt more or be more uncomfortable... but nothing yet

Very Strange you have No pain. You would if you bit down hard on your Holes.? Anyway, Glad your Doing so Well Mike,what a Blessing and thx about my Ver.2 Track. Are you going back to work this Monday,tomorrow? :eek3:

I'm pretty surprised there's no pain, too. I think I have a high tolerance for pain. When I had my front tooth busted out during hockey, that didn't hurt at all either.

I'll probably work from home tomorrow. Too hard to make any food I can eat unless I'm at home. Thanks for the kind words Will and shaken

I'm doin good still. Still haven't had any pain, so I'm guessing I won't since it's been 5 days now. Started eating some soft foods on Monday. Had some pasta, and then some salmon on Tuesday. So it's progressing nicely
