Hi!

I cant use add-on cars in my nfs4 game... I see the cars in the serialnumber editor, but i cant choose them in the car-menu..

The strange thing is, that I have downloaded a pair of cars just after I installed the game, and those cars I can drive... they have some graphics issues though, the windows is'nt clear even if they shall be, an in my downloaded Lamborghini you can't see through the windscreen in dash-view..

But, is it anyone who can tell me what the problem is (i've checked the serial numbers)

1) Are you sure that all the cars are in the Cars folder within the HS directory and that each car has a folder of its own?
2) If you're running on Windows XP, did you install any patch (high-poly and/or 4.5?)?

There are more but I just want to cover the basics.

Hmmm, sometimes the car needs to renamed.I have XP - no patch - works fine.Try
going to the start menu Electronic Arts -3d setup make sure set to 3d enabled. If that
doesnt fix the problem.Go to start menu search DXDiag.Look in those boxs to make
sure Direct X is enabled, then go thru the easy tests. If test fails probaly means video
card is junk.Good Luck.

It sounds like your game runs in software mode. Go to the game's directory and run the 3D Setup and switch to 3d device 1. Ignore the warning, save and start the game.

O my god xj220, that solved the problem!
Thanks.

Well, it just fixed the graphics, my addons do not work......:( Yes, i have installen hi poly menu patch, and i have downloaded the nfs patch v.4,43, but i dont know where to put the file?

And - i downloaded a Ferrari F40 just minutes ago, and it works fine.. but when i downloaded an Opel Zafira and tried to run it, it didnt show up in the menu :eek3:

What language have you NFS4 installed in? If it's a different one from English, then that could be the problem, as not all NFS4 addons do support multiple languages, many only work on English installments.
This can be fixed with NFSwizard though, I'll describe how if necessary.

Roadstar

Open car.viv in NFSWizard to check whether fedata files of all languages are there or not like fedata.bri fedata.eng, fedata.fre, fedata.ger, fedata.ita, fedata.spa, fedata.swe.Your language might be 1 of these. if not, make a duplicate copy of the existing fedata file present in it and rename if to any of the file extensions(.bri,.eng,.fre,.ger,.ita,.spa,.swe) as to which language u need. Save & enjoy.

I'll try to do like you wrote, Stylizer...

Sure. I guarantee it will work:p
