NFS6 online

Does anyone else here play NFS6 online, I do, with the name Lotec91.  Maybe we should set up a server and have some races together, or at least pick a time and go to an empty server

We can either use the EA cars or we could come up with an addon car list

Anyone interested?

I know of some friendly folks who play HP2 online:
EAOutlaws

Maybe I'll install this game again and give you a run or two - but not sure how it will go, I'm terrible at this game and have never played it online. :rolleyes: :p

Dark Ritual

I have HP2 lying around, but never had a chance to play in Public Servers (for some reason, I couldn't join).

If only we had Local Area Game...

Maybe it's because you have/had Patch 242 installed which limits the online capabilities

Running 240 here, never changed to 242.

Did you install gamespy? Not sure if that makes a difference, but I did, and last night I did a few races with the HP2 EAO bunch. (version 240)
Now I know its true - I am truly terrible at that game. :p

@Lotec
Maybe we could hook up someday with standard cars - this weekend doesn't look good though.

@unBtable - Don't think I have that. Got a link?
And, go practice up your skills foo :P

Gamespy came with my NFS6. When I went to install, it asked if I wanted to install Gamespy as well.
But when I play online, I go through the game. Which is why I'm not sure it makes any difference at all.

Google it. I'm too lazy. :p

I've got a good car list made up of the best addons, but I can't set up a server.  When I go to create it says "Failed to connect to Gamespy, this is generally caused by firewall problems" I had Gamespy running, and NFS6 was on my firewall exception list, so could someone could tell me how to do this.

Try looking HERE for what ports you open to host a game. It's in nice big letters part of the way down the page.

Edit - To be honest though, when I tried opening those ports and hosting a game, my game hung up every time....

If you are just gonna open a game while you race, and aren't running a dedicated server, maybe have a look at the first set of chat commands.

Also, if you're going to run with mods be sure to mention that in the title of the pit when you make it.

Could you post links to the cars you would be using? As well as any information that I would need to know in order to install it the same way as you (eg for HS there are serial numbers etc.)
