Hello!

My car-project is almost done, a Lada 2111. I´m not very good modelling, and I wonder how you make wheels and how you get them turning and spinning in the game. I also wonder how to make a dashboard.

I hope this questions wasn´t too stupid.

u shouldnt hope.. because its stupid. :D

well, u have to make the wheel as a seperate part. all the spinning and blah blah is the headache of the game. not the modeler's.

well, wait for the uploading of tutorials on nfsg, which was supposed to be here today :squint:

omg power steering, just tell him.

the wheels will need to be named a certin way if you want them to spin correctly

this is the exact name the wheels need to be if its for NFS4

:HLFW (left front)
:HLRW (left rear)
:HRRW (right rear)
:HRFW (right front)

if the axis is centered on each of the wheels (mind went blank on this one) they will spin perfectly fine

:)

u r right, its all nothing.. but the axis. when i didnt knew about the aixs placement, i wonder why the wheels of a car act like the off road trucks [:d] on turns....

Do i have to make separate models to the interior too, to make it work?

And how do I texture in ZModeler, or is it another better way to texture? Wasn´t it some tutorials that should be uploaded here on nfsg, cuz I'm feeling veery stupid right now..... :)

http://freakforspeed.sitesled.com  from modeling car from scratch - texturing - adjusting parts - importing car ingame. everything included. please u better first read the content here and then ask questions here. This way you wont get answers because these are too too noobish questions for us and we are annoyed with the qustions like this.

@ Toerme: There is a readme included with CarCAD with the part's names and their function. To make use of all functions, you should use the correct names and the seperate parts ;)
Oh and BTW, not trying to be a mod or a something, but a rule in every forum I know is to use the edit button instead of having several posts of one's own directly following each other :)
