unBtable's Track Editing Thread

Hey all,

I've been working on a new track for some time now, and I'd thought I'd start a thread. Be forewarned: I work slowly.

This is also my first track. Up until I started this, I only played around with tracks, but nothing close to serious.

I am looking for some feedback, good or bad. If you don't like it, please let me know WHY.

The track itself was made from Egyptian Rally from the Expansion Pack. I used ER as a starting point, and the two tracks don't look remotely similar. However, since I am not done editing all the files, many are still the originals from Ryan T. Credits for those go to him.

I've been calling it ER Mod until I can come up with a better name for it.

I plan it to be a simple medium-to-high speed track.

And, here's a fairly recent version. Please don't upload this anywhere; I will upload it when the track is FINISHED. Until then, I'll use my own site for previews.

What NFS game is this for?

My bad. Its for NFS4, though should anyone want to covert it when it's finished, I'd be open to that too.

Hi L@@Ks CooL you have a Billion cobinations you could do with a scratch Build like that.

Just a Tip,here allways make Bak Ups of your Tr.Frd
when ever,the game crashs, so you can go back a delete the Problem
what ever it may be? or Black screen on Game exits, or 1/2 Black Screens.
is what i do/did.  I saved my Celtic so far this way. Good Luck again

Hey all

I've not had a lot of time to work on the track in the past week or so, but I have done a few things. I thought I'd give you an update before I go on holidays.

I've been working on some tunnels; mostly just planning out the drivable polygons and leaving the walls and ceilings for later. (they look more like catwalks than tunnels at the moment)

I've also applied Cooya!'s awesome textures (thanks again  ) but I have not spent any time placing bushes along the track yet.

Hey all,

After a long break, I've started doing some serious work on this track again.

Here are the latest images:



As you can see, I've done a lot of work on the canyon on the back part of the track. I've got a few more things to go yet, but I think this will be the last beta before I present the finished version

Track is still going... but slowly.
I don't have a lot of free time, now that school has started again
