Great to see you back working on conversions!
Just one thing: The SLR is worthless without a working spoiler/airbrake - NFS4 spoiler funktion can handle it perfectly ;)

PS: The Audi is damn fast... but still a different league as SLR and CarreraGT. It has the 4.2l -420hp-RS4 engine that makes it a Lamborghini Gallardo and Porsche Carrera competitor and therefore it fits better in class "AA" while the other 2 fits in class "AAA". BMW has a sportscar in the Audi´s league: The M6! - too bad that EA never made one... Victording´s is soooo highpoly... :(

That's the Audi Le Mans quattro, with a twin-turbo V10 and 610 bhp. ;) Actually I don't know what car EA put in Carbon because the rear is the same as the R8 production model but the badge texture says "5.2 FSI" which indicates the car's equipped with a V10 powerplant similar to the one found in the Gallardo and the Audi S6.

EA put the Le Mans/R8 concept in Carbon only because they couldn't get hold of a production R8. (unsure if it was because they weren't in production yet or because of cost) And essentially, the LM quattro is the RS8, a more powerful variation of the R8.

Well, I've started to convert the Ford GT, and so far I'm disappointed...



The engine's horribly blurred, which disgusts me. I've posted my texture map (the free areas are for the stripes) as well so that people may help me with it... Please, I'm in dire need of any kind of assistance!!! :D

no wonder with such a small engine texture...
to have more space you could use just 1/5 of the rim texture (like a piece of pizza) and map it 5 times on the wheel... that way you have enough space for a better engine texture

I think you could get rid of 50% of the taillight and 50% of the wheel texture... just mirror the mapping.

The stripes are finally done after 4 hours of freeing space in the texture because of the NFSMW mesh's stupid polygon displacement...





The engine and other details will look better since I've managed to fit larger versions of the original textures into the TGA. I couldn't use half of the tire/brakelight texture because these parts are not perfectly divisible vertically, which made mirroring the alpha channel useless. Tomorrow will come the easiest part.

Seems like it'd be easier with some modelling. BUT this way, your work is even more impressive, working with what you've got. It looks great! :eek3:
