Editing Projects / Fixer Uppers
Last post by Paul Spain - Mar 01, 2026, 10:05 AMHere I show the vehicles I've tried to make a bit better over the years, All haven't been finished or even tested yet ( I blame my mild Autism cause I'm constantly bouncing around project to project) Some oldies I find I can improove on, While others it's best just to redo the whole thing using our quality bases or newer bases I find either for NFS HighStakes or NFS 3 (can convert them easily) or use models from free models sites or GTA models converted over.
Let's start with Grungy Harry and Givix's Volga 3110 Russian Militia DPS car, I showed it to a expert via FaceBook and he was like
The main thing irked him was NO GAI or DPS Patrols EVER had Militia (or now days Police) on the hood, The lightbar using gumball lights was still used in that time but it was so dated too, so I found a better one on a Ambulance on SketchFab..Other changes all described in the pics.

The improovements
. I also fixed that missing bit from the right side door post.

Last post by Butch - Feb 28, 2026, 10:21 AMI'm remaking the wheels of the proxima to erase the static wheel bug and I reduced the understeer. Proxima and Oxia will be update together.
Cooya! the EX-7 has always been in the back of my mind. The Dome and the Mazda exist in other games.

Last post by Spectre - Feb 27, 2026, 12:39 PMQuote from: Cooya! on Feb 27, 2026, 11:22 AMJapanese cars can be pretty amazing... especially some 70's concept cars like these:Ah yes, I love the Mazda RX500, it's such an awesome car, along with the DOME Zero. The Toyota and Nissan are pretty nice.
If we are talking about Japanese concept cars....I can't be bothered to show pics so I'll name a few that really appealed to me:
Mitsubishi MP-90X
Mitsubishi HSR II and HSR III
Mitsubishi SSU
Honda JV-X
Honda HP-X
Mazda MX-03
Nissan AP-X
Nissan Tri-X
Isuzu 4200R
Jiotto Caspita
And also, the dumbest and the most hilarious one ever made, Honda Fuya-jo. Look that up and you'll see why I love it for how dumb and ridiculous it looks.

...But I don't want to bring some bad ideas here as I am totally fine with the Ferrari 512BB, Lotus Esprit Turbo, BMW M1 and Detomaso Pantera coming next
And yes... I am an "old car guy" aswell! I just can't find anything amusing in nowadays cars. They all look somehow the same... totally bland. I don't care anymore. My personal rides are 36 and 28 years old now:

Last post by Herms - Feb 27, 2026, 10:08 AMQuote from: Butch on Feb 27, 2026, 8:01 AMSo in my small collection
I think that today's cars are designed for leasing, either long-term or with an option to purchase. The lease payments are converted into financial products that are resold on the market. It's like mobile phone contracts. Under these conditions, customers should not be attached to their cars.
Interesting that you mentioned mobile phone contracts as I've heard some manufacturers are making their ipad cars able to receive new features via software updates instead of physical facelifts. The touchscreens are used now because they're cheaper to produce than actual buttons and dials.

Last post by Spectre - Feb 27, 2026, 8:51 AMAh yes, I love JDM too, but I can't look at Mitsubishi anymore. It's just upsetting for what they have become now. Their glory days of sports cars like the GTO, FTO, Lancer Evolution and so on are now gone, just like Isuzu when they called it quits after the amazing Isuzu 4200R. Surprised you love the Honda Prelude.
But of course, I always have a big love of concept cars ever when I was younger and the reason why I love concept cars is because of the Ford GT90 and the Pontiac Rageous.
