is there a relatively simple way to convert the engine sound files (.BNK) in the .VIV files into common audio file types, such as MP3?

You can extract them with Vivianne or NFS Wizard, but i'd suggest Vivianne instead. Also ideally you don't want mp3 files since they are highly compressed and the audio file will loose quality upon conversion. But you can convert those .wav files with Audacity, just import then and extract them immediately after importing to your desired format

My Matra Djet for GT Legend will be adapted on NFS HS later. Don't worry. It will follow the Volvo P1800 and the Ferrari 250 SWB.

The proxima is not very different from the oxia.(they probably also look like some fish in the deep blue see)

Kinda hoped Butch would choose the Matra Djet, it's not a Peugeot but it's french.

The variety in Butch's car is so great, I don't want to argue about what car he should do.

I'm very happy with the upcoming Bora.The whole Peugeot familie is not my taste....tho I like the 504 coupé, I really mis that car in nfs4.

The Multipla is very good, with 1294 hp and a top speed of 290 km/h.

and about the Peugeots ....   someone ?

@Pete: Yes... somehow that's right. I am a very nostalgic person when it's about a very nostalgic game. But since I don't like these modern day supercars very much anyway it's pretty easy to stick to the beautiful cars of the past.

Modern cars nowadays are still pretty good. It just comes down to taste. I love pretty much any I see and they deserve some love, whether they're useless or not. Take for example....The Pontiac Aztek. Yes, I know, worst example. Many find it ugly, but I don't.

It's interesting. I'd immediately install it as a traffic car. I'm still happy that the Fiat Multipla, also lovely called "Mülltipla", exists for High Stakes. It's just a car that can't be missed. It even had 3 all connected seats in the front row. Like an old american muscle car. How awesome is that?
