is there a relatively simple way to convert the engine sound files (.BNK) in the .VIV files into common audio file types, such as MP3?

i'm working on a new track but for some reason, no matter what i do, the track lighting is dark.
i made changes in the tr.ini file.
I want the track to be bright.

Years ago i used to have addon tracks for Sportscar GT.
Things happened and i lost those extra tracks, though i still have the game.
Does anyone here know where to find addon tracks for Sportscar GT?

Concerning the "North Country" track from NFS 2, converted to High Stakes format.
When i go into the tunnel, after the switchbacks, i am unable to get through the tunnel (under what looks like a castle).
I barely get into the tunnel and i get stuck. I try Reset and that does not help either.
I have tried all available versions i can find for High Stakes.
Anyone else have this issue?
If so, is there a fix/solution?

In NFS High Stakes, what part of the .VIV file contains the "serial number" for each car?

(hope this is the correct forum room for this)
I get the attached error message from NFS High Stakes when loading some user made tracks.
Does anyone know what is means? What the fix is?

After Hot Pursuit 2, what NFS games are similar to Hot Pursuit, High Stakes, and Hot Pursuit 2?
Ones with individual tracks, not one big map/world that you race different routes (like Underground and Most Wanted).

is there a way to play NFS High Stakes in a window, instead of using the full screen?

I"m currently using fshtool.exe (i forget who wrote it) to convert the QFS files into BMPs.
I want to edit the BMPs but the extracted BMPs are 8-bit (256 color).
Is there a way to make the extracted BMPs 24-bit that will allow fshtool.exe to put the BMPs back into a QFS file?
hope that makes sense.

Don't know if anyone else tried this, but i used T3ED track editor by Denis Aurox (and other image editors) and made image overlays showing how Hometown and Countrywoods (and the other tracks) fit over top of each other.
Just found this interesting. Not sure if anyone else would.
