Description

This is the Illinois State Police version of the 1974 Dodge Monaco by Madman, Butch, Mr. X, and Agent Mulder, There seems to be a lack of images of this car but I managed to find some. At the time both TwinSonic and the bubblegum lightbar (Federal Signal Visibar) were used on this car, I chose to do the TwinSonic version,I had to edit the original texture since Illinois did NOT use the Cali version and the insides are setup diffrent on it, I then used the 1:18 DieCast for reference, That model INCORRECTLY has a Red/Blue lightbar however: Prior to 1986 ONLY Chicago Police was allowed Blue Emergency lights per Illinois Statute and while I have saw pics of various Dept.s violating this (who's gonna ticket cops? :laughcry:) It would be unthinkable for Illinois State Police to do so and their Colonel would NEVER allow such :shh:. That said enjoy the car. I will also do one with a transparent Twin Sonic for NFS Police H.Q. so keep a eye out there. 1974 was the last year of solid vehicles, 1974 was also the first year they introduced the iconic dual Gold stripes and from 1975 on that would be the norm for them until 1995. From 2000 onward they adopted a single fat Gold stripe briefly disappearing due to budget cuts but returned after massive outcry.

PLEASE NOTE: This uses the OLD light mod by Rata_536 as I don't like the new one (complicated naming system), You can convert it to the new one if you desire. It lost damage because of being modified, You can add that again too if you like. I'm not good at that.

Reading the description, it shows the love/admiration P.Spain has for policecars, I like that. In 1973/74 American cars were kingsize. Hard to avoid collision (luckily damage is gone;))The Dodge looks immense on those pic's in wide-screen.

You gotta drive this thing with finess, I gave it test drive to get the shots and it handels way diffrent than I expected, It sneaks up on ya..I was doing just fine til I hit a curve at that bridge, I took out a panel on the entrance :o..Also not as easy to avoid your stupid driving "backup" on chases.

The included pic. "1974 Dodge Monaco's.png" is now my background vidwall in the showcase;).

Nice car, but there are 'normal' issues (around door handles front doors f.e)

:hmm: I don't see how there's normals issues, I hadn't changed those. Can you send me the version with a vidwall? I'll put it up.

Why isn't there any damage? It says "no damage." What did you do? We created a damage model. Paul, you can't create 496 cars without damage? And no vidwall?

Damage goes away when you delete a part, Everything has to be just as it was on the original and it's always a nuisance to recreate just as it was plus I'm not good at making damage like you guys are so that is why I never create it..Mine would be too far or not enough and not look right.

Also there won't be 496 more of these :laughcry:..I can't find intel and pics for THAT many :smirk:.

The damage does not disappear when the same part is deleted in both the normal model and the damaged model. Check that you have selected exactly the same number of deleted polygons in both models.

It does seem to if you didn't have the damage open when loading it into ZModeler to edit/export. As I didn't it no longer works.

Keep in mind that the beta NFS4 lights patch never saw the light of day, and it was only handed out on Discord. Even I don't have that patch anymore xD Pretty much nobody will have access to that.

I liked the simpler system the most as well, but I did a vote and ARGB code won so I had to go with that.

Dunno, honestly it'd be better if there's only one version (as for syntax) floating around. After all, the naming isn't harder per se, just a lil bit longer.

Exactly, if i remember correct, it's just replacing a single letter with an AlphaRGB value and that's it. Those values are even documented in the files, so the move to the newer version wouldn't be too hard
