Colin MacRae rally 2 help......

I recently borrowed Colin MacRae Raly 2 from my brother.  I have had it installed previously on my machine a couple years back with no problems that I can remember,  When I insyalled it recently it seems to work fune until I race.  In a race, no matther how high or low the graphics are set, about 13-20 seconds into the race the game freezes and I have to shut off the computer to reboot it.  Iteven freezes if the demo runs for so many seconds.  HELP!

Inside of Direct X9.0c exe. If you put umm,your Sound Excelleration on None,Trust me' that helps alot about making games work better on Older Pc's that dont have enough Ram,and Power. i used to do that. Helped alot my Game wasent Choppy any more,You still will have Sound but you cant use Higher settings on sound. Well This Helps the Games FPS (Fraps,Frame Rate)
I Really cant Remember there 2nd Game of Cmr?, i allways used there 3,4,5, ver. Games PaL :/

I did me whan i had an Acer 333Mhz Pc wit a 18 meg Vcard & 64 Ram.
That was on win 98SE and it that was 1999, lol

No it didn;t help CMR 2 at all, still froze at about the same point in race.
