i heard the turbo-4 Esprit was more reliable than the Esprit V8... either way it looks lovely.

but i guess that was built more to be a nice big GT, unlike the Exige which was meant to be a hardcore track toy.

Yeah that's right & I still choose Espirit, I don't like real tiny cars.:p The Elise/Exige are exotics, but they feel more like Jap tuners to me & using the Toyota Celica engines.

That was what I first thought, but I wasn't confident enough. It sure looks like a McLaren Mercedes F1 car.

I though the same at first, but after searching for a picture I realized that that was not possible, since there is no bars to "hold" the tires between the bumper, the front spoiler and the chassis (I'm not sure how to explain this in English...)
