Turn off police sounds (siren) always in game

Hello everybody,

we play NFS Hot Pursuit (Remastered) and NFS Heat. In both games, but especially in NFS Hot Pursuit Remastered we would like to turn off the police car sound - not only when we drive it, but when we are racers.

We have some sensitivity in our family, so of course the police sounds are a very important part of any NFS game, but we would like to reduce it or turn it off.

I already tried some mod tools like SPS converter, but I can't find the siren sounds anywhere.

So my question is just: where in those two mentioned games can I find the siren sound files ? Or is there any hidden cfg, ini option to turn those sounds of ? Or any other tool that I could try for certain files ?

Thank you very much.

Hello, still have these questions today :).
But mainly for Hot Pursuit Remastered.

Is there any spcific file for the police sirenes of the other cars, so not the sound when WE are the police but the police sound in general?
There must be one two sound files containing the sirens, but I don't find it?

What do you have against sirens ?  ??? Anyway if you can locate the siren file it might be as easy as opening it in Audacity (if it can) and replacing the file with blank noise (just record but with no sound) I don't have these 2 games on PC and only have Hot Pursuit 2010 on PS3 and don't have NFS Heat at all so I wouldn't know if this could be done for certain but if it can it's a easy fix with Audacity, just record a nothing file and replace the sirens with that new file (might have to rename it).
NFS HighStakes is the best

thank you, it is just something I would improve, as I did in other games as well, for example I made silent some very often messages in Anno 1701 or the permanent radar sound in Comanche 4 :). Or perhaps just change the sound into my local country sound :). (see your avatar)

But the thing is: I don't find the files. I even don't know where similar files are located and how to access them. If they are SPS then I could open them.

Well after some hours of playing now, the sirens are actually not so bad :).
We did not start playing earlier this year because of this, but now when you play some time the sirens actually make sense :).

After all my questions seems to be answered now by the playing experience.
