They are in fact from a Mercedes S-Class W116 ;)
OH YEAH that makes some sense. Just gorgeous idea to use them for the Isdera's

@EvoX: Yeah they're getting more popular from time to time, i'm glad my family's been capable of owning one. Especially the 2 liter version with manual 4 gears. It's a dream to drive. Unfortunately the gearshift gate is a bit stiff to operate in the winter but it's a thing which is nowadays not too much of a problem to let it be expensively repaired due to higher and higher labor costs

You have that? I have a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee, I can't afford a Mercedes but I guess in their homeland (Germany) They'd be cheap..My Jeep was $4000.70 all together.
NFS HighStakes is the best

Quote from: EvoX on Jun 01, 2026, 11:59 PMWow Pete you have a legendary ride. Here they are still extremely polular. Also the early Audis hehe
I wish there would be some more of the early Audis around here. They're all gone. In the past, Germany had really ridiculous laws. For example, my family used to own a Ford Escort Mk3. But there used to be a law that when your car doesn't have a green sticker, you couldn't drive through cities. Only through rural regions. And the Mk3 needed to have a catalyst for getting a green sticker. But it didn't come with a catalyst out of the factory. And there also weren't any catalyst kits for the Mk3. So my father had to yeet that car since we've lived inside a green sticker region. That's probably been the death for many old cars from the 80s. Also many cars from that era used to rust. It's always been hella expensive to "un-rust" a car in Germany. Costs have always been way too high for most of the people. It's like buying a new car. You had to spend thousands of Euros on a car which you can get for 500€ in a good shape. So that's the other thing why you can only see shit cars nowadays.. I barely see an e34, e28 or older Audis. Only, if even, you can see older Mercedes' since they basically don't rust. My 190E from 1991 almost ain't got any rust.. It's all a shame

If i remember correct, my grandpa has worked somewhere at Daimler. He had a Firmenwagen (company car) which then my uncle used to buy very cheap from them. It's 1st hand :D:D All i can do is to hope  that it will never get involved into a serious crash or won't get stolen or petrol engined cars won't get prohibited inside EU. Apart from that, it runs fine

Wow, 4000 dollars is what i would call cheap for a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee. You need to pay similiar bills for a 190E nowadays in Germany, if not higher. But you can also get them for a 1000€ if their condition is not so good
