Newbie at adding mods

I'm brand new to adding mods to games. I know nothing. I'm playing NFS Most Wanted v. 1.3.128 copyright says 2018. I'm using an old android jellybean(4.2.2) tablet. What can I add or change? How do I do it? I'm 51 and trying to learn what I can. I've been a gamer, mostly in arcades, since the early 80's. Any and all help is appreciated.
