Start off saying Amazing work age ;) do you only have to to make one half of it? An your program can copy the other half, to save all that reworks? I just guessing it does.. )

Hey, that was some Cool explanation, of how they are. Bull bar, shapes, sizes. I don't know much about them. I have not a nice big truck wished I did. Rite.. ::) my $$ tree is Spanked cough.. nice pics, Frank an, um, I'm still busy changing a few textures,  yet..  you know I'm just Stumbling, over New ideas in my head lolz.. :o U know as my project go's along, but I'm trying not to slow down, Fps, with to much add on stuff, an tho's  256×2 textures, don't want use so many of them. I made my little Forrest better, today, on top of other things.. phew say, the least.. thanks for your Upgrade there.  =D what about a Radio antenna does it have one,not real Long ok then it be done? How's that  8)

Hey Frank, nice job on that bar and overall poly distribution. One thing, through - do you planning to create separate verticles groups on lights and lower tube? Adding that and proper normals will make all thing look even better despite small size.

Hello Rider66 .. I don't know if I'm exactly getting that right what you mean ... the lower or 'straight' tube isn't connected to the outer tube construction neither are the foglights .. :o

So if you select 'seperated' in ZModeler verts or faces mode you are able to get each of the parts or 'groups' seperately like either the outer S-shaped tube, the straight tube or foglights? The normals are already adjusted to a better look as well .. actually at each seperate cross-section tier of the outer tube's connection points by placing the main working axis and 'adjust normals' tool .. ???

Only thing I did was to detach and unite that undercarriage protection plate (flipped and rotated that as well so it fitted the bar better ..) from car to the bar :OS part, such are the foglights but they're not joined on vertices' level as said so can also be selected seperately for further usage ... ::)

Rider66

Thanks for the explanation! Well, I wasn't quite sure about lower tube, that's why I mentioned that aswell. As for the lights, let me show it more detailed.
I attached the image of what do I mean by separate verticles on lights. There's red circles, which means limits of each verticles groups. It appears that this way this structure might get more realistic light reflection calculation on both foglight glass and body. Moreover, you can add poly stripe there too to get even more finer looking result, I presume. Should be just 24 triangles at all  :)

Uhhh .. I see what you mean .. well, the lenses were seperated on vertices level before I united the verts with those of the back part .. correct but I re-adjusted the normals there as well as I usually do .. you're right, uniting vertices normally means messing up normals if you don't re-adjust them on the point .. ;)

... an advantage of uniting verts on edges is of course decreasing the overall carmesh load (in kB) but only works well if the individual angles of the verts' normals don't differ too much, except if you re-adjust the normals then properly there .. ^-^

There's a trick I use on adjusting normals on lenses or planes ... I choose the median point of it for main axis and pull all adjust levers to maximum (x,y,z) so I can even generate a 'bent' or an 'arched' surface impression on a simple plane ... =D
A good example for that is the interior mirror which mostly consists of two faces only .. to generate an 'arched' mirror impression I do exactly that .. :)

This is also a good method for making better windows if you detach and select them seperatly and set the main axis on the detached new part axis, select all vertices of it and adjust them two or three times using full levers on normals adjusting tool .. :D

A counterexample: if I detached the lenses again and let them be adjusted with 'automatic normals adjust' by ZModeler they wouldn't look that arched anymore, rather plane as they actually are ... :-\
Best if you observe the reflections' alterations of the concerning part in 3D window alongside with the normals adjusting process, you can also change faces' reflection mode from 'shine' to 'high gloss' for that temporarily and then change it back afterwards ^-^

Attached pic: I detached the lenses again with 'automatic normals adjust' option checked, does this now look better to you? ???

Btw .. a 'poly stripe' -if you mean a textured one- isn't necessarily depending on mesh structure but on how it is mapped if I'm getting you right .. ::) except if you wanted to insert one, then of course you'd have to detach, rescale and map that correspondingly .. best if you just told me what you mean or need?

WiLL

No it doesn't you have to redo it now... pal  :o  ::) Dry Humour, this noon hour,  =D  =D hey only if I could remember all you said..  :(
Ttul any chance for um, the Radio antenna? No worries  8)

Hi bro, nice to hear of you lately .. HQ stereo or just a simple AM wave antenna? -LOL
How about a windshield built-in amplified one? .. many European cars have that ... =D

Joking pal .. think that one would be ok? ^-^

WiLL

Pretty Fancy Window them trucks have huh,  is that a front window, that has that in it? wow, I really never knew about them, new Style ones, that much frank. An yes the- 2nd pic would be great older style, well the kind I like more. Used Of Course  =D

Added a stubbed CB antenna now like it is seen on the real pic, it's more of that modern flexible kind ... hope you like it, I think a radio antenna is not necessarily needed therefore? This is then the so far last 'add-on' to carmesh now, I'm starting to prepare the files for an upload .. currently making some coloured .tgas for the traffic version .. seven should be enough then? :P

The antenna is levelled (shortened) to the topmost existing mesh point (the rollcage) so the mesh's general heigth isn't altered to avoid a change in the carmesh's overall height what would cause problems with the car's lateral tilting behaviour .. :o

Btw .. there's still a minor bug that makes the AI drivers' skin appear coloured depending on the main body colour .. well, this cannot be remedied for some texturing reasons since the main body's windows are only cut out by alpha channel so the colouring of the body influences the driver skin's colour in a way .. :-\

This doesn't affect -remarkably enough- the Racer car itself .. some of HS' odd secrets probably .. ;)

Because of the many detail stuff added to mesh I haven't made a blade fastening system for the Snowplow version yet since that was hidden behind the blade most of the time in-game anyways, I hope you can live with that issue ... ?

I like them Colors way more to, I'm Having trouble trying to post again, cause I have no pc, online so. Memo copy again, Nice Antenna Frank just was a nice idea is all. Bro not getting upset at, me how many smoke dummies,  does it have, on back pipes? Can you just use one is all?)
Cause its hard to drive when so Smokey,at times behind another 250, etc)  can you reduce the smoke pal... to one. Nice work.on it I'm just trying cope,, in all are Cold here.. thanks...

Will also send to you 'special version' with the beams still on rollcage since you like 'em that much eh? ;)

Ok folks, here's colours for the traffic F250 ... besides a grey/silver one there's a nice palette of decent colours I hope ... :D

default red, blue and dark blue, green, yellow, brown, a reddish brown and orange ... not really 'screaming' ones though ::)

WiLL

Wow, you do that for me... :o  :D Really loving them Colors Much... Bro Frank much, an um,
Definitely be waiting,  cause the Duke boys car battery died today. They need a jump...
Old Grandpa guy yelling on the Radio much  ;) cause Cuttier? Guy tow truck tenants out..?  ::)
Oh, same oh u know... thanks, about my track just seems, like they don't like the Original type-
Much.. np.  Wished I could have did more on it yet.. hmm, it was just Ideas of test I tried an-
Learned more about on it was about it. Gives me other idea of sorts,me thinks... =D
But, I need a shower bad now... lol. Ttul thanks for Cheer up this am! For sure... )

Ok upped the traffic pack about an hour ago hope I didn't make any mistakes ... =D

Now starting with your 'special edition' F250 pal .. then I need a break from modelling for short time, haven't even taken a look at the new tracks I was so looking forward to, too much work currently -LOL :o ???
