folks facing another problem with that hailer .. though I could calculate several relations from pics (width to height, upper angle of the outer parts) I have no idea of how big the 'thing' is by its overall lentgh .. :-\

If I base it to the real Mustang's pic size and set that into relation I would get an overall lenght of approx. 67cm ... since the Mustang's model wheelbase is still too large by factor 1.04 the length would then be approx. 65cm

.. or is it -excuse me always forgetting that ::)- simply done by a feet or inch based measurement? .. like it being simply 'about 2 feet long' or so? :o

I never wasn't very good at Math,, So but, I think your rite it's about 2' feet long or Less, No worries about it... I'm not an over the top, perfectionist, person, not always. ;)  ttul- :8 good luck, I'm sure you'll get it on just rite. )

Hi WiLL you were faster LOL .. made that hood hailer/sign today .. consider the car now as so far finished if you don't find any bugs or have critizism still folks .. please test it .. polyload 4051 polies/carmesh 725kB .. well not even a 'lightweight' :-\

the door decal perhaps needs a little bit of texture rework still though before I upload it .. ::)

Car tinkerers may wonder about the bonnet being assigned to :OC part but was necessary to avoid bleed through effects because of the hailer using alpha channel 'cut-out' lettering .. =D

serial #32 for Hometown/CW usage .. :police:

Have fun!

Edit: corrected the door decal texture and made the hailer bit clearer (brighter) still .. :)

Hey. Is this the detective car (1K80) from the cop series Dragnet with Sgt. Friday and Off. Gannon? Loved that series BTW. :)

Yes and no..This is 4-K17 and is from the pilot that lead to the 1967-1970 Dragnet series where 1-K80 came to be..It is still Officer Gannon and Sgt. Friday though :). You can find the whole movie on YouTube..Just type Dragnet 1966. I also will do the later car from the TV series as they are identical and only the grill and tail lights are diffrent between the 1966 Fairlane and the 1967 Fairlane.

I might send them to Frank first though as whenever I convert 2 door cars to 4 door (this was originally a 2 door car) I always get messed up areas as I have to bend and move verticles to fit and it leaves mess spots, Maybe he can clean it up a bit while still preserving it's good seperate doors, hood, and trunk it has. I will also use this to make other police cars besides 4-K17 and 1-K80..I know Illinois State Police had these in the old black/white scheme with a FederalSignal Visibar on them.

If I still have that I will :). I have to see, It was originally a 2 door to begin with but I might have done deleted the original base I started with after I'd poly reduced it.

.. it's always the details that are keeping me .. before I started reworking the NYPD Mustang I have refined the '87 GT's wheels still a bit .. I scaled the rims to more depth are also now decreased in diameter added 3D hubs still to make it look even more natural .. then I updated the NYPD Mustang to new base and found the molders as too 'plain', looked at pics and saw the shaded lines on them, that's what I did still yesterday .. ^-^

btw .. that would be a matching car to the '88 NYPD Mustang GT .. '89 Caprice NYPD by DodgeBoy original ... has new wheels tinted windows and stuff .. had prettied up that by and by .. but needs to be updated to the new NYPD Aerotwin base still :)

FranknFurter

to your all info .. Mustang files are out now sent, should be up soon .. ;)
