Sorry, you are right. I didn't mean that they are exactly, I just try to say that they used the same scenarios or places. And maybe there are more differences because of the period of time between both games. Qs you can see in the desert screen, is almost the same, but the difference of time is just one year. However, I choose these to games because NfS2 is the older nfs game that I really know and HP because is the end of the real nfs tracks. (And maybe the end of the real NfS)

Quote from: Jaume08As I told you, the similarities between locations of different nfs games is amazing. I have been playing nfs2 trying to remember some places from NFS HP2 and other games, and this is the result:

Do you remember this canyons?

And this ones from NFS3? :)

Lets go to NfShp2 and NFS2:

Desert towns:

Forest short cuts:
Ok. this is not the famous short cut from hp2, but you know what I mean.

Tropical houses (this one is amazing):

Jungle short cut:
I know that is not this place, but I guess that you remember the short cut, well, in fact is not short. :/

Mediterranean cities:

Mediterranean road:

Forest road:

And, tunnels:

ufff. I hope you like it, because I have used three hours of my life. But I have been playing Nfs so I haven't waste my time. ;)
These are just small bits of the tracks, it's not enough to prove there's little variation between them.

You can't really compare the American desert in NFS3 with the mountains in NFS6 because the latter track has an Alpine setup, which makes it much different. Concerning the small bamboo houses in the Aussie and the Mexican tracks, well, the people living in these places are all human... :p So it's likely they would build their homes in a similar way.

Quote from: Jaume08Maybe is just my opinion, but before nfsu, all the locations where really similar, and I have found the same places in different games.
I never pretended to say that the whole track is exactly the same in different games, just show similar places. I have been playing other nfs so when I installed again nfs2 I saw some places that remaind me other nfs games. I have been probably more than 5 years without playing nfs2...

Hehe, nice string of NFS locations, I agree that there are a couple of track themes that make a return in several NFS chapters (Forests, mountain passes, desert/canyons, industrial, etc.)

That is one of my gripes with the Underground games, that the surroundings just aren't as varied and epic as the old games (although UG2 offered more variety with Jackson heights for example).
One of my favorite parts of Most Wanted was the forest area with the double road in it because it game me a certain classic NFS feel. ;)
This is one of the reasons why Carbon doesn't appeal to me a lot, because I get the idea from the media that I've seen so far (I haven't played the full game yet) that the environments all look a bit samey - not to mention familiar when you've already played the UG games extensively.

Always difficult for me to choose a 'best', but I picked PU in the end, because tracks like Zone Industrielle, Auvernge and especially Schwarzwald (aka the "Mini-Nürburgring" ;) ) impressed me the most.

NFS4 and NFS5 had the best locations.
