Hi yes i hear you Zpectre an um
Agree to some points. Ever since Creamer,an JimD. Redid nfs4 with the 4.50 patch i never do any online Racing fun with anyone yet no isp so.
Wanted say i have been using the'no Collision, much i just don't like broken, lights, an Damage so much.. on the Sweet cars i use.

An so, i think your cars you did had, have great Quality about them an all. But could still be some of the, things you mentioned to?. About faster production, back in the day.

I'm Basically tired from the Stores hype pipe..today, an doing much cleaning up in my little nice apt/home...

Okay, but i still like that Function they made No-Collision, but it really makes Hp. Cop mode, harder to catch the Speeder lol i use the Spike stripe more. But it's still fun tho.
😄 So...

I really don't use a Full Grid. anymore, i like say 4 opponent's an me makes 5 an the game runs better i think. She really is an old car Arcade like you say.
But,again it's an addiction, i wouldn't want to Out Grow yet.
or too soon.! That's my nfs4 nut shell for tonight? Have a good Thursday to Zpectre an im still Hoping you will still? Have some Come back! 😻 😎
Let's have a better day...?

I think a lot of the fun in HS is pursuit mode. That was the reason for my hiatus. The cars were too detailed and wouldn't run well in pursuit mode. So I gave up on the game.

Another reason was that there were some lovely addon tracks where the AI sucked balls and there was nothing to fix it. :(

Biggest problem of HS is the memory management. The game was built for PC with low memory and won't use more than a certain amount. If you feed it more detail than it can chew, it either crashes or does some weird things. Polygon is not the only limitation. If you add high detail sound to HS (44100 Hz) it starts making funny noises. :D

It's probably one of my favorite games of all time. I devoted much of my online life to NFS, especially HS and PU. I got into this because a mate told me there were addon cars other than EA official cars. The rest is history. :)

Hey there mikawagnerbr  this was a way old, thread I can't see why you opened it back up for? It had nothing to to do with AJ's. New Car release. And it was about somthing other. Just tell AJ. Yourself under his Car page.
Anyways it seemed pointless putting it here.
Edit. I had a Bad day today.. I'm not Cheerful. Peace man. )

I hope someone can convert the Ford Indigo from Ford Racing 3. That's quite low poly.

dandresden

Quote from: XJ220 on Nov 22, 2015,  8:08 AMNow I am wondering whether the Lamborghini branding was removed from the prototype for the pics and vids used in NFS2 and partially replaced by the GIUGIARO logo... but then again, the car's branding has changed more than once.

And design-wise, I think both the Nazca C2 and Scighera are much closer to being production cars than the GT90 ever was. It's too much of an extreme design study.

The GT90's only purpose was to forecast the New Edge design language from the late 90s. It was tested by somebody (I think it was even Top Gear) and considered very difficult to drive. It was also said that the car had deficient cooling for the engine (which was a merger of two Duratec V6 fed by four turbos). If the Veyron needed that many radiators to function reliably, the GT90 would need similar hardware to keep it going as well.

I know this is an old thread but I believe it was actually 2 Lincoln InTech V8s with 2 cylinders cut off each then fused together hence why it was 90 degree V12 where the Duratec V6 is a 60 degree V6

Zpectre

I mistook the GT90 for the Aston Martin engines! Nice to learn, thanks Andrew. :)

Probably where they learned how to do the Aston engine with the Duratec V6s!

Sorry to bump this old thread again but seeing those SOTD on facebook made me feel really nostalgic for NFS2SE.  I know there was a pack where you could change some tracks for some of the NFS2 tracks but does anyone know if they were all made for HS?  I tried installing 2SE the other night on a spare PC and it worked but the sound is all messed up and I tried forcing it on one CPU that didn't fix it.  Wish it wasn't such a pain to install.

You mean: were all NFS2 se tracks ever converted to NFS HS? They were (a long time ago, in fact)
The pack you're referring to is probably the Expansion Pack which was developed next to the Stock Pack which made it possible to race High Stakes online again (and added several other features as well)

You can download the most recent version of both packs on http://www.iplounge.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1756
It's up to you if you want to install the stock pack also, or only the expansion with extra cars and tracks. You can even choose to open the NFS_HS_EP_Setup_V4.0_1.76.exe with any unzip tool and extract only the tracks that you're looking for. (remember that Last Resort was renamed to Acapulco)

Yessss the pack I had only had a few of the NFS2 tracks.  That's awesome thanks for the link!

Remko

No problem. :) All NFS2 tracks were converted back in 2001 and those may still be available for download here and there, but the versions in the EP are the most optimized ones, so I would recommend those.

WiLL

Remko I knew you, had this in-you! Very long day here, thanks! To :)
