NFS UG2 cheats

My problem is simple: I can't get em to work on the PC version.  How do I get them to work?

You should enter them in the "Press Enter" screen. You should hear a sound when you enter them correctly.

press enter screen?  That's the thing, when I load a profile, where is that?  It never says, "press enter" or anything like that, or at least not that I see.

When you run the game, the first screen you stumble with is the "Press Enter" screen.
