The Estoque is a concept now, Automobili Lamborghini SpA is saying production may be as early as 2010.
...its alright.. but i hope they refine the design a bit before then

thanks Will,
hmm, I never thought about that, but this car's rear quarter is strikingly similar to the Camaro's.
not a camaro or chevelle though
this one is a bit trickey

Off-Topic Discussion / New site design
Nov 11, 2008, 12:55 PM
I remember liking your site designs a couple years ago that had a lot of tan/earth tone colours with the classic blue background. So I'll suggest a tan coloured button.
If not, then blue/purple should agree with the current design.

Off-Topic Discussion / New site design

looks good Mike.
there are many things i like about the new design and i also have some comments/considerations:
-one thing I'm not so big on is having the main news/text section offset to accommodate the unified sidebar on the right, I'd rather it be in the middle.
-Maybe a larger, more eye catching downloads section link like the new upload or forum buttons, in addition to the small text links, would help new visitors find what they're looking for easier.
-possibly move the header to the top of the page rather than being under the ads.
just some things to think about. Thanks for doing all this work Mike, The site keeps looking better and better.

Off-Topic Discussion / City Bus in your area
Sep 22, 2008, 3:16 PM
The TTC (Toronto transit Commission) system is getting on in years now. It serves a lot of people and new infrastructure needs to be built, existing needs rehab/updating. more active measures need to be implemented to ease traffic, especially the Gardiner Expressway and the 401 - the busiest highway in North America. Its a good network though, i use it often.
streetcar

Bus - this one is a new hybrid, there are tons of different models on the road though

Subway

short LRT line in east end of city

Off-Topic Discussion / Thoughts about THIS cofig.

The Radeon 3850 is far superior to the other graphics cards you have listed. I don't know where you are located but you should be able to get a 3850 or even a 3870 for less than $130 in the US or Canada. Processor - i would recommend the E7200, its an efficient yet fast budget processor, especially if you overclock it a little. If your running XP, don't get any more than 2GB ram; for vista, 2GB is the sweet spot now but that may change in the future. You can get 2 gigs of DDR2 RAM for cheaper than $60 nowadays. Your cost estimates seem a little low for the other items, make sure not to skimp on a brand name power supply that will keep your system stable. Corsair, antec, coolermaster, OCZ and some others are good you'll only need something like 500W. Good luck:)

Off-Topic Discussion / Hundred pushup challenge
Jul 18, 2008, 4:05 PM
funny, I already started something similar myself.
I work in an office so every day I'd do pushups after I got home from work - I've gotten up to 50 consecutively.
im also pretty lazy though so its less of an every day thing and more of a when i get around to it thing...

General NFS / downloading hi-poly cars
May 26, 2008, 5:02 PM
There really isn't a fix for this, the NFS4 game engine can only handle so many polygons. i think the upper limit is around 40 000 polys - but don't quote me on it.
This limitation becomes quite apparent when playing in hot pursuit mode with high poly cars.
try turning traffic off and watching the polycount of cars you use in pursuit mode/races with lots of opponents.
