I don't have a clue, but it sounds like you're making progress, nfsc otc on the psp still plays similarly to other versions of carbon, but I'm not sure if it uses all the same core files, or how to edit it, it's common for console (or handheld) versions of games to be vary different at they're core.

Unfortunately I didn't make that much progress.

But on the other hand I was able to extract the .big and .viv files without any problems using ea_big4.bms with QuickBMS.

And now I can view the 2D (textures, assets, etc.) .msh files through EA Graphics Manager, they recently added support for Zeebo and PSP version files.

But I still haven't been able to export, import or modify the 3D model of cars, scenes, etc.

Hello, I'm kind of new here, I've been trying to extract and create mods for some Zeebo games (I had some success with Quake 1 and 2 as they are practically the PC version but running on Zeebo), my next step was to try do some modding with Zeebo's version of Need for Speed Carbon Own the City, which is a direct port of the PSP version. (it is also available on GBA and DS, but the Zeebo version is a direct port of the PSP with even some leftovers such as backgrounds, PSP icons and online mode disabled within the files)

I have had some success extracting the .big files from both the PSP and Zeebo versions using QuickBMS with the code line ea_big4.bms

But I didn't have much luck with the .viv files, I used Dragon UnPACKer but all I had was several .o / .apt / .const / .msh and other files types.

I have no idea how to open these files but I believe it is related to the 3D model of the cars or perhaps the 2D textures.

The .dds and .msh files in particular I was able to open using a program called Texture Finder, but it doesn't seem to have loaded correctly as the image appears broken/corrupted.

I believe the .viv files contain the car models, I tried to find a VIV Editor that I found but I had no luck opening the files.

Does anyone have a tip for a newbie?, I really want to be able to mod the PSP and Zeebo version or at least be able to extract the assets, especially from the Zeebo version since it is such a unique and unknown console.

I'm trying to make mods from Zeebo's NFS Carbon Own The City (but it uses the exact same files as the PSP version, it's basically a direct port)



I had no problems with the .big files, I used QuickBMS with the ea_big4.bms line of code and the Zeebo version files extracted without any problems.



My problem now is with the graphics files ( .viv / .apt / .const / .dds / .msh / .o ) of these files only the .dds and .msh I was able to identify, but even them I could not open or change correctly:







With the .viv files I had even less luck, I couldn't open the file containing the car models for some reason using viveditor, the other files opened:





I really want to be able to create mods for this version, but I found extremely few tools for the PSP versions of Need for Speed (only for PCs and Consoles versions) can anyone help me?

Hello, I'm new here, I'm trying to make some kind of mod on NFS Carbon: Own The City for PSP and Zeebo, but I'm not sure how to start, I already extracted the .iso and made some modifications to some files, but whenever I tried to load the game again in PPSSPP it simply crashed (later I noticed that regardless of what I did, when I extracted the .iso and assembled it from new the game crashed even without modifying anything, probably i'm setting up .iso the wrong way, does anyone have a tip?)

Anyway, does anyone have any tips on how to get started, I would like help to modify the .big and .viv files, I tried to extract some files related to cars and artwork using Dragon UnPACKer but all he gave me was .o, .msh files and other types of files that I have no idea how to open.
