Title: Aeria Games: Project Torque
Post by: monkey.wesley on Jun 20, 2008, 1:36 PM
Hey, guys.

If you're getting bored of NFS or want some serious HUMAN competition, download PROJECT TORQUE: http://project-torque.aeriagames.com/

I think it's a fairly recent game, and they just upgraded to their next generation. There is a mix of real and original cars, all of which have decent performance and handling. There is customization, though it is not as extensive nor ricey as NFS. Also, there is a variety of modes to race in online. For example, there is drag, drift, simple "circuit" or "point-to-point", and a NASCAR style "Thunder Alley" mode. Along with human competition online, there are missions to accomplish, all of which are fun and sometimes hard to complete. Please download this game (it's free!) and give it a try! It's really fun, and we can race each other.

Game Features:
MMORG (Massively Multiplayer Online Racing Game)
Cutting Edge 3D Graphics
Several Types of Game Modes
2-20 Player Races
Advanced Experience and Licensing System
Online Community features like Chat and Email within the Client
Shop and Item Mall for Upgrades and Car Customization
Online Rankings
Tournaments

Upcoming Features
Race Teams / Race Clubs
Fully Customizable Avatars and Race Girls
New Cars
New Tracks
New Modes of Play

Nice Game. But I think the concept is taken from NFS7. It looks more or less the same. The cars dont have interior like NFS7's cars. Too bad there are only 5 car brands like Toyota, Mazda, SUbaru, Mitsubishi & General Motors.

GLad it has 2006 Corvette, MR2, Lancer IX & Hummer H3.

Um... all cars have interiors. There is no Hummer H3, as far as I know. There are more "original" cars in the game than "real" cars, I think. And it's not really based on NFS7, because you are not required to customize/rice your car and also there is real-time damage that REALLY affects your car. Please give it a try!

Hmmm, interesting. I'll give this one a look, definitely. Now that LFS makes you register to play online, even if you're on a demo

Yeah haha... I liked LFS... but a lack of a wheel and the new patches with required registration have stopped me from playing LFS anymore.

If you actually download... my ID is soupbase. (not soupbase123)

This game is still fairly new, so they're gradually adding more and more content.

You really can drift easily, though it requires lots of control to keep it going or to prevent a spin-out. The higher class cars are hard to control.

Hmmm I didn't know there was a car list on there. Yeah, I guess there will be one I guess. It's still slowly developing... a bit too slow if you ask me. I've already stopped playing it, waiting for more content.
