Title: Pro Street - PC Bug Reports
Post by: Sinister on Nov 30, 2007, 11:28 AM
QuoteOur dev team is aware of some of the issues that require attention for the PC version of ProStreet.  Among those are the choppy/laggy gameplay and occasional crashes.  I was hoping to get some feedback from you guys to see if you have noticed any other issues yourself, or from people in your communities.  Any help/feedback would be greatly appreciated so that our dev team can work to get these issues resolved with the future patch.
So if anyone could please post any problems they have had recently with the PC version of ProStreet, we can get this resolved with the patch they are building up.

The sooner you all get your bug reports in, the sooner the patch should be released.

well I have some bugs to report,
sometimes some tires overstep the road, and for instance, just before starting the burnout of drag challenges the tires start bouncing, but I've noticed that this just happens with some cars (like rx-7).
Also, skid marks appear before the skid.
And...there are some cars that have some problems with vinyls and decals, like the GTO or the 911 Turbo gt2, it's quite difficult to match the vinyl in different parts of the car, for instance the hood and the front bumper.
and...That's all for now.

that's not exactly a bug, but it's something really annoying, The Mustang and some other cars have some messed textures, look attached image.
I think that this kind of mistakes are obvious and it's quite insulting to make something like this. EA developers are too lazy...

I installed my copy of ProStreet on a friend's computer, since I don't have a DVD-ROM drive (yes... it's only a reader XD), and there seems to be some issues with gamepads. I tried my Logitech RumblePad 2 with the game and in drag mode, I could never shift up from neutral at the start when I hit shift up on my RumblePad. Might want to check that out... though I'm not quite sure what IS supposed to happen in ProStreet's drag.

I play with my game pad and I don't have any problem, try to change the game pad configuration in the controls menu. Try to change the button to be sure that it's not your rumblepad.

I did... but it's still an issue... I plan on going over to my friend's house later to test it out again.

so... I'm playin PS on my Vista PC , 2.8 ghz cpu , 1 gb ram. And thats (for vista) not enuf (3 ghz minimum) so playing its on vista is painful. slightly lags at minimum graphics settings and loads up to 90 seconds (if you don't believe me , I'm gonna upload a vid on youtube to prove it)
I haven't patched my game , the link on this site doesn't work , plus I tried from another site and the game wouldn't open after that , so I reinstalled it. If you know a link that works , please tell me.
the bugs I saw until now where the one above reported by jaume08 , some errors on the texture of the front tires and (for the first time) the game crashed.

EDIT
new glitch found , theres a strange red light behind my GTO. it might be the taillight because it gets stronger when I break and turns of when I'm in reverse , only problem is that its like 15 cm away from the car (pic attached)

Hmm, it's happened to me too on my Drag, Drift, Grip, and Speed Skylines a lot, espcially when my car resets. I think the light floating is just a taillight.

Audi A3 glitches.
the steering wheel becomes transparent when looked from behind (or from in front of the car) and there seams to be a hole under the front doors if you look from inside.

disk breaks glitch.
there are no disk breaks except for the stock ones. happens on all cars and breaks.

the thing with the vinyls is "normal" (well, normal fro a EA game). There are a lot of cars with this same problem, like the gto, the viper or the 911 gt2...but about the disk breaks, I don't have that problem. Are you sure that this happens with all cars? maybe is only with the skyline.

Edit: I attached a screen were you can see the disk breaks and the vinyl problem.

always ?! I hope it only happened once.
I was doing one of those racedays where you don't have to bring your cars and I was doing a grip race whit the M3. When the race starts I'm so behind (too much cars in a tiny space) that the rear-right end of my car in was IN the wall (or how you want to call it). When the race started I was instantly totaled (WTF?!) then I restarted the race (twice) but there was no way I could even begin the race without "light damage". Anyway , it wasn't my car and I won , but thats just wrong.

BUT once I flipped and didn't total (I was doing about 30 km/h) :bigthumb:

its a glitch but on the Seat , that's a kind of beta car for PS so that doesn't count (will be fixed whit the "booster pack")
but anyway , its a funny glitch :bigthumb:

:eek2: WOWEE! You could fly with that thing. Or chop somebody's head off. :D

Anyways... bugs are seeming to be growing in number... not a good sign. >.<

But anyways... hopefully they all get fixed.

By the way... my friend is also having a damage problem. He always hits the guy in front of him at the start of any race and get's light damage.

Not sure if this is a bug, but I just installed the new pack out(with the Bugatti and such) and opened the game, and went to the Car Lot. Then I still have the same old 57 cars.
