Hi i was wondering what this FSAA X8
Setting Means. Well i have it Turned on
In my old game, Well my Fraps rate went down
alot. but there about on 45 Tops now.
From 250 heh, Also there is a setting that shows
X 1 or X 4 or X 8 with that? Ok whats it Help do? do it make, the Grafics
Better In game.. on the Track?
that's the Anti-aliasing.
Wikipedia:
Quoteis the technique of minimizing the distortion artifacts known as aliasing when representing a high-resolution signal at a lower resolution.
QuoteFull-scene anti-aliasing by supersampling usually means that each full frame is rendered at double (2x) or quadruple (4x) the display resolution, and then down-sampled to match the display resolution. So a 2x FSAA would render four supersampled pixels for each single pixel of each frame.
I had a feeling it was this,Anti-aliasing.
Jaume08 ould you use it on 8X?
if your Frap Rate wasent So Choppy at all in Game.
Yes i think the Tracks Look alot Sharper with this On.
Some times a few Frame Rates get slower at times.?
It also has a 1,2,3 setting wonder what that does?
So. um what setting to you think i should have the 8X's on
Hey thanks for Help i wasent all sure what FSAA ment. :)
If you have anti-aliasing on... your frame rate should be lower with higher FSAA... especially if your graphics card is weak... like mine. :p It definitely makes the game look very smooth and stuff... but if you're wanting 8x FSAA... be prepared for lag and game crashes... if your graphics card is not good.

Hi Monkey havent seen you around in a Loong while?
I was talking about that Colin McRea 2004 Game.
so thats almost 4yrs old.
Yeah its that anti-aliasing It Really makes this old Game Look waay better
I used to get 250 FPS when it was off
Now i get 35 to 45 FPS Now witch is Still Good because i have a Nice
New Vcard Nivida PCI/8500/256 Ddr2 just got it 2 weeks ago.:D
But i was Amazed by it workes so well! Yes i hate choppy Game's.
Im Sure the New Colin McRea,Dirt Rally 07 i wont be able to have anti-aliasing it on... because you need a 8x Core Pc, and be on the Space Station to make that work well with a Vcard that hasent been Invented yet cya around  ;)
well, if the game is from 2004 I would definitely play with FSAA x8, I used to do it with Toca 3 (2006). But now I'm playing F.E.A.R. (2005) and I can't switch on the anti-aliasing if I wanna be able to shoot the enemy without the bullet time, and that suck, because when I keep still the cupboards and the books start moving, well, redrawing the lines... :squint:

Wicked.. Sounds Like the Max Panye Game i have that also :D
That sounds so Freeky that stuff moving around like a scary movie & shooter all in one lol Jaume08 ;) :squint:
Well yeah im sure i cant use that 8X on any other newer game :(
Oh...I forgot to say that frame rates of between 30 to 60 fps are considered minimally acceptable. Well, that's what wikipedia says, cause I play at 25 fps in the planes of Oblivion and I don't have any problem :p
but I hardly can achieve more than 20 fps in the Pro street demo....:(
Yeah i hear yah..Mines about the same FPS.
With NFS PS Demo. Im not all into
The game anyways. its ok
Will..? Max Payne? Cool...that is a fun game.to bad my friggen puter won't play it....close though, I need better gfx, maybe 32 megs and a bit more ram...though I got Dungeon Siege which says minimun 128 to run smoothas silk on my 96 ram machine..odd....
