What is the NFS4 Expansion Pack? How can I get it? What is in it? How do I use it?
what are you talking about? nfs4 was really a expansion because it all the tracks and most of the cars from HP1
I'm not sure. I've seen other members talking aabout it, but I don't know a darn thing about it.

The expansion pack (EP) is exactly that: an expansion. The raeson its a Pack is because it also includes all the patches and programs necessary to go from a fresh reinstall right to online racing. You can choose what you want to install.
As you might have heard, it was developed by online racers for use online. You might also find the mixer very handy; I know I do. :bigthumb:

Notice that the file has shrunk a lot (new compression used in the installer), down to 79 something MB instead of the 120~ listed. Make sure you save the file as an .EXE instead of .htm .

I tried the linkand it worked fien, but when I tried the link for the full EP files, I got a screen full of gibberish text. There is only a little bit of actual readable text at the top of the oage and then a TON of crap afterwards.
You're supposed to click on the link and select "save target as"

What tracks come with it? I can't make the save target as thing work, but I want to know if it has any tracks I can't find somewhere else? (I collect tracks, you see)

All of the tracks cannot be found anywhere else because they were fixed by the people who made the EP and can only be obtained by installing it.

Some of the tracks are pretty cool in that list. I had Proving Grounds for NFS3. One track I would LOVE to see for NFS4 is the City 2se track. So far I have only seen it on another site. Thwere was a city 3 in the works but I guess it never got finished. It is a track in tribute to New York.
hmm... i remembered while I was away on holidays.... i think its a .rar file instead of .exe.... i cant remember.

Really? the only one I didn't find anywhere else was Thunder Mountain thingy.
Hang, on never mind, Google search is giving me a site. It worked. All tracks now accounted for.
What he was trying to say that is that the EP has updated versions of those tracks....
Many bugs have been fixed, making them a lot cleaner to drive :) as well as some extras added to some tracks, such as light sources, and much improved night/weather settings etc.
It's these fixed-up versions that you won't find anywhere else.
hmm...time to DL, copy the tracks, then reinstall to my current settings and remove the mixer, then I'll be happy.
