Hi guys,

on this site a couple of my nfs5 conversions have been uploaded without my permission. they also fuxed the description and author.

First the author is Martin Leps/mnikolae, they aren't the same person.
And the description is straight copy and paste.

I said in the readme not to upload without my permission.

I'm all for uploading them, but they're outdated and have bugs, so I'm working on a better version before I release it.

Please remove this

IMO this should be stickified, too. Thievery in the NFS community isn't as frequent as before, but it still exists.

About the car,Mike must be knowing who must have uploaded it as he is the administrator. :ugh: The system of Uploaded by should be started on this site as well to know the person involved. ;)

All I've got is an IP address of the person who uploaded it... And unless I make it a requirement to be logged in to upload, then IP is all I can get. It doesn't match anyone registered on the site, either.

So either A) I require users to be logged in when uploading

or B) keep it how it is, and hope that you guys can spot any stolen cars that I miss :)

Thanks, I'll be putting up a bunch of nfs5 cars of my own and converts soon :cool: .
I just didn't think the M3 was up to quality for this new site.

You should resume working on NFS5, you were doing a wonderful job before all that bad stuff happened.

heh, the way my modelings improved (been making full cars) and how well nfs:pu is running on vista (flawlessly) i'm returning.

Would there be any chance of someone convertin or creating the 935 Moby Dick from NFS:PU to NFS3 and NFS4???

No. IMPOSSIBLE. Cars cannot be converted from NFS5 till now.

Um, I think you may be mistaken here, mate - conversion from NFS PU to NFS3/4 has been possible since 2001, if not longer: http://www.nfsaddons.com/nfshs/cars/Porsche/281/ (935 Moby Dick converted by Sniper)

well whatever the action is taken, stealing can never be eliminated because there is a hell of people and hell of ways to get it out. so the only way is keep searching new added cars and look for stealing. this is what I do but most of the time a user can only detect that car which he know already... so this is a negative point.

bucksavage: One PU car is in progress for NFS 3,when it will be available I don't know,but it will hopefully not be too far in the future:)

bucksavage: I will recieve a convertion of the Porsche 935 "Moby Dick" soon,want a copy of it,pm me
I found the car in the HS section at NFSCars,if I remember right I know for sure it is available for HS cause I have it :)
