I've decided to create a new thread to post all my projects in. Here are pics of my Dodge Viper SRT-10 conversion:

it really looks cool.  Once its done I hope it gets converted to NFS3.  Damn it is sweet!!!  The tires are pretty cool too, and is that a side dumping exaust I see.  If it is, WAY COOL!!!

I'll make the stripes less blurry. Just wanted to see whether I could make it work.

You may notice the stripes' paint doesn't go over the bodylines. This is because the bodylines themselves are modeled, which makes it difficult to match them with the colouring of the car's body.

IMO they look more realistic this way.

Looks like another very clean conversion! What's the polycount btw?

Hi Nils! :D

I think if they were painted they would look more like they do in the real car, but I also like them the way they are now. Polycount is around 7,500, maybe even less since I forgot to check it.

7500 - That's what I call efficiency!
And you're right about the stripes - I just thought of the way German Fire Brigades "paint" their vehicles in some cases - they use white as base color (cheap) and then put foils on top. These foils always have gaps where the bodylines are, but the Viper's stripes apparently don't. I still think it looks good this way :bigthumb:

Hey JRice80, Martin Leps made that cars on his own. Zpectre only converted it from NFS9. So it is originally the work of EA. So EA's model would definitely be better than ML's. :)

EA's M3 is light-years ahead of his. Besides, IMO it's unfair to compare his Viper GTS model to EA's Viper SRT-10 because the former was built years ago, taking NFS4's poor graphics engine into consideration. WR2 has way fewer limitations than NFS4, allowing Martin to utilise his skill to the max.

The car is almost ready, but I'm traveling to the coast now, so the release will have to wait until Wednesday.

OK, I'm working on the sound and would like to know your opinions on the samples I'm thinking about using. Here are they, in MP3 format:

I know RapidShare sucks, but those are small downloads and thus they won't make you wait for too long. :D Please don't pay much attention to noises like blips and pops, since those can be fixed (most of the time). I'd like you to concentrate on the general tone of the car's engine. I'm aiming for a sound which is both aggressive and pleasant to hear - right now, I think the GTS/R is the one that offers the best combination of these factors.

Regarding the model itself, I've finally been able to give the stripes a sharper look. I also had to remap the top of the car because the stripes weren't completely straight. Between remapping and moving the vertices around, I chose the former, due to convenience.

Why aren't the new NFS games like this? Those MW models (along with Cooya! and Tõnis' V8 Vantage) definitely feel more at home in NFS4's tracks.

Your conversions are always a pleasure to see... great work. Only the driver skin is a bit shiney compared to the one in the Aston Martin... maybe you should give him a little texture - feel free to use mine if you like - or change it if you like... It is really small...

PS: I hate Dato´s Aston Martin DB9 conversion... You can do better ;)

NFS4 is a real Need for Speed. UG and past aren't. That's it.

The sounds... I agree, the GTS/R one is the best of those three, although I can't believe it's an R, sounds quite weak. Anyway it's the best of those.

And about the model/texture: Maybe a closeup of the improved stripes? And now that I see the drivers of your conversions, maybe you should give changing hair-colors a try as long as you have a free alpha-channel ;)

I will. ;) Actually my next conversion will be the Carrera GT, which Dato didn't manage to make a good conversion of.

However, I'm afraid there's no space left for textures, as the stripes themselves are gigantic. I couldn't map just one half of the car and then mirror the other half, because there's a row of polies on the roof that isn't split in the middle like the others are. Because of this, I had to paint both the right and the left stripes in the TGA.

The driver is blonde because I'm blonde myself. :D Still, if it serves as consolation, you can choose between paintjobs with and without stripes.

I'll probably raise the volume of the sound or do other stuff to get a more aggressive note. This sample has potential, since it's the GTS/R's redline sound.

I gave up on the GTS/R sound (I didn't even try to do anything with it, in fact, since I was doing other stuff). I'll use the tuned Viper one. Somehow it feels cleaner and more natural.

It´s incredible that MostWanted cars can look so much better in an 8 year-old game than in MW itself... And with 7.500 polies it is only the B-level, right?

I'm afraid it won't be possible. NFS4 doesn't support various levels of transparency like MW does. As a result, those lines under the light bulbs had to be made opaque, with transparency between each line.

However, I can always use RGB 223 to make them have the same colour as the body and give them a fake glass effect. ;)

I knew someone would say something about that part... :D In fact, I was thinking about getting rid of those parts altogether, since, in some pics, the regular C6 doesn't have them (and I know for sure the Z06 doesn't). DanR didn't make them in his C6 either.

Nicely done, Zpectre :) I never saw this thread before and I just noticed all the cars you converted. Great job! I'll be off now, I have a few MW cars I need to test in NFS4 :P

Oh, and if you can, you should convert some cars from Carbon. :D

Yes, it's possible. ZModeler 2.0.9 has an NFSC import filter. I asked XenTek to send me some meshes in Z3D format. I could just download the game, but it takes a lot of time and the people here are afraid that, if I let the computer on overnight, its components would suffer heavy damage. I prefer not to argue with them to avoid conflict, but I know this is simply excessive care (nothing bad would happen, with the exception of my electric bill being more expensive).

I'm posting a new picture with modified headlights:

Basically I changed the shape of that fringed part slightly and gave it the same alpha colour as the body. I did this since the texture was darkened after the resizing (it was originally a 256x256 texture but is now 64x64 in size) due to pixel condensation. If people say it's OK, I will release it tomorrow. The sound is ready (it's the same sound used by my police Corvettes, maybe a little louder for more grunt).

I wanted to work on the C6-R but decided it was time for a change of pace and extracted the DB9 mesh. After cleaning up all the mess done by ZModeler 2 in the extraction process (parts everywhere, gigantic side mirrors), I prepared the mesh for detaching and posterior mapping. Next will be the Carrera GT at last, that is, unless XenTek sends me the Jaguar XK first. :D

The track in the screenshot is Bergstrasse. It's worth downloading for the graphics, multiple routes and good amount of fog.

Fiat Punto (the only way one could even think about putting it in NFS4 would be as a crappy traffic car)
Infiniti G35 (there is one converted from NFSU2 at NFSCars)
Lamborghini Gallardo (VSO's is good enough)
Lexus IS300 (it's crap)
Lotus Elise (the 111R will replace it)
Mazda RX-8 (I hate this car with a passion)
Mazdaspeed 3 (don't like it)
Mercedes SL 500 (pointless since I'm converting the SL 65 instead)

I won't promise anything here, but if I had to hazard a guess, I'd say all the cars will be ready by the end of the year, right by the release of the next NFS, unless something comes up (job/university work/ESOL CPE exam/German classes/life in general). Actually, each car takes a day to convert if I work non-stop (I started the Corvette the same day I posted the pics and would have released it, had it not been for the headlights and the dummies), but it's not very often that I'm in good enough mood for the boring activity that is mapping a model.

You're welcome! ;) Actually, when you pointed the mistakes out, I thought just the colouring was wrong, when in fact it was needed to move the upper vertices away from the bulbs, making the part a bit thinner and thus more accurate.

I don't have the files... :( You should ask XenTek, who is the person I'll be getting the Carbon meshes from.

Be sure to replace that Eclipse GT with the Eclipse GS-X. :D

You want the base Elise or the 111R? I can only give you the former, since I don't have Carbon. I'll see if I keep the PC on all day, but it's unlikely.

BTW, I'll release the Corvette after tweaking the CARP file, which shouldn't take long. The one I'm currently using has extremely short gearing, resulting in unrealistic acceleration.

Hmmm, performance... Here is what I know in the CARP file:


General tag:

- Serial number: The same as the one in the FEDATA.

- Car Classification: Contrary to popular belief, this IS important. The numbers indicate the position of the engine in the car. Useful for engine damage calculation. 0 for rear/mid-engined vehicles, and 2 for front-engined cars.

- Spoiler function type: For use with OS parts only. The part will only rotate when it's set to 1. Set it to zero if you want an immovable spoiler.

- Mass: The weight.

- Spoiler activation speed: Does nothing AFAIK.

- Road bumpiness factor: How much the car bumps when going over rough terrain. Higher numbers mean more bumps.

- Top speed: Does nothing.

- Camera arm: Don't know.

- Maximum velocity: The highest speed the car will reach under normal circumstances. If it goes faster, the speedometer will stop. The value may not reflect the actual behavior of the car if the torque curve and the gear efficiency are set too high.

- Pitch roll factor: How much the car rolls from one side to the another when cornering. The lower it is, the less roll there is. Avoid setting this too low or the slightest damage will make the suspension start falling apart, producing that horrible noise.


Gearing/Engine tag:

- Number of gears: How many gears the car's gearbox has, including neutral and reverse.

- Final gear: Doesn't do anything, but I like to set it to the real values just in case.

- Velocity to RPM: Controls the maximum speed a car will reach in any given gear. Can be calculated with the NFS VTR Calculator by IH8COPS or the CarChecker program. Higher numbers mean shorter gears.

- Gear ratios: Does nothing.

- Gear efficiency: How well the gearbox transforms power into energy to move the wheels. Higher values give better acceleration. Higher gears should have better efficiency since there's little energy dissipation at high speeds.

- Shift delay: How long it takes to change gears. Lower is better.

- Minimum RPM: RPM at idle. Value should be higher with more powerful engines (highly tuned motors and racing blocks, for instance).

- Redline RPM: Maximum RPM the engine reaches. If you can't find it on the internet, note that it's usually 250-500 RPM more than the RPM at peak power (maximum horsepower).

- Front drive ratio: People have said in the past this isn't important; don't listen to them. This controls how much power is sent to the front wheels. Here are the values:

x = 0 >>> RWD
0 < x < 1 >>> 4WD (ratio depends on the car; usually it's 40% or 0,4)
x = 1 >>> FWD

Although NFS4's physics aren't exactly the best, they emulate front drive ratio almost perfectly. This is most noticeable in slippery conditions.  An RWD car will have problems accelerating off the line and will spin its wheels unless you shift at low RPM, but has better handling since RWD cars tend to oversteer and you can't spin your car in NFS4 (not with the default grip settings at least); a 4WD vehicle has the best grip overall but suffers from understeer; finally, FWD cars torque-steer heavily when accelerating and, although they have good roadholding on dry asphalt, they understeer terribly on the wet and especially when snowing, to the point you are almost forced to let off the gas when cornering.

- Torque curve: Torque at various RPM points. Have fun changing the values. ;) Just keep in mind that turbo engines (especially older ones), in general, have peakier torque curves, and most high-revving NA (naturally aspirated) street cars have broader curves.


Gas/Braking/Realism tag:

- G transfer factor: Associated with the car's grip when cornering. A good approximate value would be half  the mark the real car achieved on the skidpad.

- Front brake bias ratio: Just what it says. The higher, the more weight is transferred to the front of the car while braking, making your car slide more in turns while braking.

- Gas off factor: The rate at which the speed of your car decreases when you let off the car. Related to a car's aero coefficient. I believe a higher value makes the speed decrease more.

- Maximum braking deceleration: How strong your brakes are. Higher values mean quicker stops.

- Realism: All these values are related to the in-game slider bars in the tuning menu and modifying them has the same effect as moving those sliders.


Tires/Grip tag:

- Tire specs: What it says. Doesn't seem to do anything, but use real values just in case.

- Lateral acceleration grip multiplier: Higher values increase roadholding. Seems to have a large impact in the cornering of the car.

- Aerodynamic downforce multiplier: The amount of downforce holding the car to the ground. Higher values mean the car won't jump as much.

- Tire wear: Does nothing.

- Front grip bias: IH8COPS thinks it's related to weight distribution; the value would be the percentage of weight concentrated in the front. I'm not sure this is how it works, however. Front-heavy cars tend to understeer, and, when you increase the value in the CARP, the car becomes more prone to oversteering instead. Due to this, I believe it means the percentage of the weight concentrated in the rear, not in the front. One nice example is the Porsche 911 (one of the most rear-heavy sportscar ever made); it oversteers harshly and its rear weight is about 65% of the car's total weight.

- Tire factor: Does nothing.

- Wheelbase: Distance between the front and the rear axia. Can be found in data sheets.


Steering tag:

- Minimum steering acceleration: Higher values ensure quicker steering.

- Turning circle radius: The lower, the easier to turn at lower speeds.

- Low and high turn factor: How twitchy the car is. Higher values give the car's handling a heavier feel.

- Gradient understeer: The general behaviour of the car while cornering:

x = 1 >>> neutral
x < 1 >>> understeer
x > 1 >>> oversteer

Fiddling with performance used to be my favourite hobby in NFS4, but most of the handling stuff is unknown as of now. But these should help you make a semi-accurate CARP.

And yes, the colors of the DB7 are nice but not correct for this model... You should use my V8 Vantage colorset as this is the right one for the DB9 - I used the new Aston Martin 2007 colors for it. In fact they look almost the same - only the names are not as nice.
And can you please scale it a bit up to make it as long as my DB7? It would look strange if the DB9 is so much smaller than it...

There isn't really much to calculate other than VTR values and torque at peak horsepower.

I think I'll leave the scale as it is since I like the dimensions of the MW models. Besides, the model would look weird compared to the other conversions.

But as I told you: It is scaled 2-3% too small even compared to your other conversions. It´s as small as your corvette but the DB9 is a 2+2 seater GranTurismo and should be bigger but that´s no problem as everyone can scale it as he likes - I will make my one bigger ;)

The XK may have more of Aston Martin than Jaguar in its design, but it's surely among the most beautiful currently produced automobiles in the world.

First and foremost, if you must praise anyone, it should be XenTek. This project wouldn't have been possible without his contribution.

The Carrera has been fully mapped, but I don't know if I'll make a convertible roof. EA didn't model the car with a cabriolet option in mind (a quick look at the model is enough to confirm this) , so I probably won't make a removable top, unless someone asks for the model so they can build one. The more help I use, the better the car becomes. ;)

An announcement: the release of the latest conversions will be delayed. The reason is that I'm preparing a surprise... I will update ALL of my cars with some new textures, poly flag fixes, better sounds and maybe even upgrades for some of them... However, I'll take my time to do it since I'm a little busy.

It's nearly done. Also, you'll enjoy driving this car - it's heavy and soft, like the real thing. The short gearing of the 7-speed transmission (which is a 6-speed in NFS4 since I haven't figured out how to make 7 gears work without problems) ensures surprisingly fast acceleration off the line, although top speed is on the lower side.

I'm not godlike (LOL :p), but you're right about the time. If I could work 24/7 on these you'd be seeing 2 releases a day.

Furthermore, I trusted HSVrules the task of converting the cars to NFS6, and NFS3 converting can be done by everyone, it's just a matter of renaming dummies and flipping the texture.

I don't extract them directly from the files, I keep the car at a steady RPM range then record a video with Fraps. I then open the video file in GoldWave and save it as a sound file.

If you have an analog controller you can leave the car at neutral then slowly tilt the stick until you reach the desired RPM range and keep the car at it while you record the video. It's easier said than done, though, especially if you have a shaky hand... :rolleyes: but that was how I recorded the NFS5 and the GTR sounds (in MW and NFSU2 I use other, more inventive techniques :D ).

Don't be fooled by the pics. This is a completely new car. I've used the "b" LOD of the MW mesh this time, which allowed me to save nearly 4,000 polies compared to the old versions. Normals are infinitely better, as are the wheels. The rear brakelights use new dummies and the sound has been slightly modified (it has a higher pitch).

I'm thinking about making the Lancer my next car just to compete with it... We need more 4WD cars in NFS4.

BTW, the tracks are Norwegen 1.0, Dolphin Valley and Raceway 2006; this last one didn't have a night file when I downloaded it so I made my own.

NFS3 converting is very easy, I'll post something when I have more time. Basically you save the NFS4 FCE as NFS3 in FCE Converter, flip the TGA vertically with a program that opens TGA files (IrfanView is a good one and it's freeware) and rename the dummies in CarCAD or some other program that can read NFS3 FCE files. It's up to you to convert them since I don't have NFS3 installed and don't really want to dust off that old CD again.

Some cars have rims by different brands... The CLK has AMG rims, the Impreza has BBS rims and the Lancer uses Enkei ones. And yes, the Jaguar is the XK.

I can finally say the cars reached final status. Now I think I'll search for pictures to make showcases.

Well, the Corvette was light-years ahead of anything else in Class A, yet it was still considered an A car... If you drive it with manual gearbox, it's as fast as the M5, exactly like the comparison bars tell you. My 911 Carrera is as fast as the Corvette, but, on the other hand, its lap times are much better than those of the XK or the Impreza, because it's got more top-end power.

In real life, the new 911 Carrera S almost matches the 996 Turbo, however the latter doesn't have the technological aids from the former.

I've got a tutorial which states that you shouldn't use any values higher than 0.5 since HS doesn't support FWD, so you'll just have problems with the overall handling. Looks good anyway!

Visually speaking, NFS4 doesn't support FWD because the rear wheels always spin, but when I set the front drive ratio to 1 the car acquires some characteristics of FWD vehicles (mostly understeer and torque-steer in low-grip situations).

If you set it too high, for example by inputting a value of 100, it's like you're giving the front wheels 100 times the power the engine normally gives, which makes the car propel itself to the sky like a rocket. It's actually kinda funny to watch. :rolleyes:

The sound will be from the stock Golf in MW because we own a Passat 1.8 MkV and its sound is pretty close to the Golf's.

Would be great to have visual AWD and FWD support. But what you said in the post about wet surfaces and snow, AFAIK FWD cars are a lot better for those surfaces than RWD cars, that's why the NYPD likes the Impala so much.

well... you should never have rwd on wet surfaces in the first place... why do you think another enzo got crashed while whoever it was (something related to the movie "redline") couldn't stop at a turn? because when the wheels from the back are pushing the car forward... the front wheels are just being pushed and when they turn... it is likely that they will lose traction. fwd isn't too good either... since locking your front wheels while turning won't turn you anywhere but if you don't lock... you can turn way more than you can turn with a rwd.

It's the 3.2 S-Line, and it's not fast in-game... I've put real specs for it, and the Golf GTI nearly outpaces it. However, the TT 3.2 weighs a lot (1520 kg, a lot for such a small car), which may be hindering its performance.

I was going to fix the dummy (I tried to use Euro nameplates with Euro cars but in most of them it doesn't fit properly...) but I'm playing through Carbon and all my projects are on hold because of it. I'm amazed at how little money is available through Career - I'm in Silverton and barely have resources for a Tier 3 car, let alone upgrades. My DB9 can't keep up with cars to the likes of Murciélago, Carrera GT and Corvette Z06... I also have a Cayman but it's not very fast either. How I miss MW! By Blacklist #5 I already had Gallardo and Porsche 911 Carrera S, and money was the least of my concerns, because if you reran the races they would pay off the same amount of money...

At least the sounds in Carbon are fabulous... EA mixed different sounds for some cars and the results are great.

The weight should be the problem, especially on uphill sections, HS is very unrealistic, even AA cars have problems there when trying to accelerate from 0 kp/h.

About the plate, I agree with Cooya!, :LICENSE should look better. What you said about euro cars + euro plates sounds okay, but as these cars are the US versions, it's not so easy :p

I was taking a look at the textures extracted from NFSC cars and realised that especially the muscle cars with their stripes will be a little hard to convert without losing much detail. That lettering on the sides of the GT3 has started to haunt me already... To make matters worse, EA themselves used low-res drawings for most of the stripes, meaning I can't risk resizing them too much or else they will become useless. Luckily not all of the good cars (Murc LP640, CCX) require me to manage texture space to accomodate extra details, which makes the job much easier...

I'm thinking about converting ALL the cars from these games, regardless of there being a good NFS4 version of them already. This may hurt some egoes out there, but the meshes from the most recent NFS games (Most Wanted and Carbon) are incredibly accurate and run better in NFS4 than user-made models because these most of the time have higher polycounts. Of course, there will be an order of preference, so the Punto will probably be the last car I'm gonna convert. :D

Actually they're supposed to be hollow inside. The inner part is covered by a 2-polygon mask I don't have the texture for.

The M3 is available here at NFSGarage. The one in my sig is version 2 which will be released in the near future.

All those cars are from either MW or Carbon. The ones that aren't in MW are from Carbon (because the MW meshes are that much easier to convert).

Just one thing: The SLR is worthless without a working spoiler/airbrake - NFS4 spoiler funktion can handle it perfectly ;)

PS: The Audi is damn fast... but still a different league as SLR and CarreraGT. It has the 4.2l -420hp-RS4 engine that makes it a Lamborghini Gallardo and Porsche Carrera competitor and therefore it fits better in class "AA" while the other 2 fits in class "AAA". BMW has a sportscar in the Audi´s league: The M6! - too bad that EA never made one... Victording´s is soooo highpoly... :(

EA put the Le Mans/R8 concept in Carbon only because they couldn't get hold of a production R8. (unsure if it was because they weren't in production yet or because of cost) And essentially, the LM quattro is the RS8, a more powerful variation of the R8.

Well, I've started to convert the Ford GT, and so far I'm disappointed...

no wonder with such a small engine texture...
to have more space you could use just 1/5 of the rim texture (like a piece of pizza) and map it 5 times on the wheel... that way you have enough space for a better engine texture

The stripes are finally done after 4 hours of freeing space in the texture because of the NFSMW mesh's stupid polygon displacement...

Yeah! :D I had to remodel some bits of the roof because the interior's mesh didn't match the body's roof, but it wasn't much of a big deal.

AND the one from HP2 is the concept version while the one from MW is the finished production vehicle.

I scrapped the part and now I'm modelling a more accurate one. I've got nice reference pics but even those (which are the best I could find) don't give me a clear view of some details.

Depends. I plan on converting the Murciélago LP640 and the SL 65 AMG and then I'll move to some Japanese cars (Supra, RX7, Eclipse).

Yes, and there will be demand for them even after NFSPS is released, since I feel those models will be too highpoly for NFS4.

Yeah, that is really impressive.  Any chance of getting a decent polycount 2009 Camaro Concept?  I have one o got , at, another NFS site, and it won't run on my comp, I keep getting out of reserve menoy/texture memory errors when I try to use it.  I think the poly count of the car is too high for my gfx card, but i do no know what the poly count of the car is.

In the not-so-near future. :)

Next few cars to be converted (which, thank God, are mostly NFSMW cars, easier to convert):

Mercedes SL 65 AMG (last bonus car to be converted)
Toyota Supra
Mazda RX-7
Ford Mustang GT
Dodge Charger SRT-8

The list may change because I may be "needing" to convert a car, but I'd like to do more slower cars after the last four I've done. Also I'm currently searching pics on Google of my released cars to make the showcases. Already found some of the M3 GTR. :D

Audi TT has been updated. It should be available soon. Basically I used better textures for the front and exhaust grilles, resulting in a look similar to that of Martin Leps' TT Cabriolet and closer to the appearance of the car in MW.

I like it when the wheels are black, but only on black, silver, or white body. I like silver wheels when the car is orange, green, etc.

I'm thinking about using manual scissor in PSP8 to cut the Lambo badge then increasing brightness of the wheel texture.

I most probably won't update the lowpoly one because, quite frankly, it looks too boxy IMO. And I won't make multiple skins for this one because I have no more room for textures (therefore can't make stripes for the London/France skins) and this is first and foremost a texture update, with new brake rotors, tire tread, letterings and RPD badge. However, I'm accepting suggestions to improve its looks... :)

I will also convert the police Corvette Z06 from Carbon and make cop cars from my 911 Turbo, as well as a Murciélago.

The car's 7,500 polies so you will have some problems when using it with highpoly cars. Sometimes you can have two of them plus 3 of XJ220's Caprices and a 9,000-poly speeder, but on many other tracks, it will unfortunately crash. :( If you don't use it as replacement for, say, the Camaro, and use the CD cars as traffic, you'll be able to use it without problems.

I have another question.  The audi TT you made is really awesome but the darn game crashes when I try to use it in Career mode.  I start a circuit, and it loads mayme a thord of the way and them stops and goes back to the menu, after about 3 tries of this the game crashes.  Also, for some reason the 911(996) collection you made.only the gt2 works for me, the 911 turbo gives me a ram out of ran error when I try to look at the car in the menu.  I get this error on a few cars but most others are fine.  

Looking forward to more of your cars, man they are sweet!

In the readme it says you won't be able to run with more than 5 opponents... And the 911 Turbo has a lot of polies, it's the heftiest car I've made with 7,778.

Yeah, with better specs you should be able to race against more opponents (I heard stories of people who ran a full grid of highpoly cars) but even then there's a limit. The menu can only go as far as around 13,000 polies.

Unfortunately the crashing problem will get worse in the to-be-released v2.0 of the Porsches because of the wheels with fixed normals (more vertices increased the size of the FCE files).

The recording is a bit noisy but it's because of Fraps, it's not noisy in-game. This sound was converted from NFSC stock Murciélago. I'm posting it here becauase I'd like to see what you guys think about the quality of the 16000 Hz samples.

Sorry for the delay on those conversions to NFS5, I had a big load problem turning fce to working z3d. But once again, I could convert all of your cars right? (This is the final ask before I start converting and stop asking for permission again :P)

Yes you have but please don't convert anything released before the XK because all those cars have a few bugs I intend to fix. The releases may also take longer since I'm thinking about maybe adding a dash view to the cars.

Fraps is a video recording program. :D "He" is also used to take screenshots, but I prefer IrFanView for better quality.

That Corvette sound is from MW.

This is an update done long ago but I think I should post it to check feedback... If people receive it well then release in a few days is a possibility.

I'm always here, just not as active.

My next exam will be only on the 13th of September and not very hard so there's a possibility I'll get around to releasing these cars. I wanted to make upgrades but if I eventually do them it'll take a little longer to release. AAA cars would of course have only one level since they're already pretty strong. To avoid problems I'd make "car1", "car2" the same as "car", and "car3" as upgrade. I've already extracted the Carbon SL 65 which has upgrades but it's depressing to see all those separate parts the Carbon cars have. :D

But I guess the pictures of some addons speak for themselves... :D Just don't push them to release it because they're working on it as they have time, which is not always.

Yeah I tried it too, and you have to register.  You can use the automatic translation of IE to make it readable.  It is far from perfect english but you get the gist of it.

The last 5 cars have been uploaded. I've done it since I expect to upgrade my PC and I've heard stories of NFS4 not working with dual-core processors (Nappe1). I also don't know whether the game will be compatible with Vista.

There is a NFS HS dual-core cpu fix currently up at NFSCars.  Maybe that'll help you out.  As for vista...I dunno.  You could try runnign a dual boot of some sort with XP so you could run all your other programs that don't like Vista.  

What cars did you upload?  Also, you talked about making an Audi R8....well I just d/led a car yesterday that looks like the shape could be modded to the R8 shape easily; it is the Audi Nuvolari Quattro from NFSCars.  But you'd have to get permission for the author I suppose.

You won't need to convert the Carrera GT because NFS3 doesn't support convertible tops. :D
