Some cars have parts wich have all colors of the rainbow (often antennes or driverarms). I used to calculate normals with fcefinish but than the whole car (HB part) looks bad. I'm able to fix a bit but not always satisfying.
How can I fix normals in Zmod?
When I try I select objects, surface, normals, calculate. But no result.
Also when importing the car.fce Zmod 1.07b crashes.
In case the issue persists.
You can use fcecodec to convert FCE to and from OBJ format, then fix the normals in any 3D editor of your choice (e.g., Blender). fcecodec is fully transparent and does not alter data unless you want it to.
Link in signature. Happy modding.

You need to select the polygons you want to edit, you can do this by going to the "Select" tab and then choose "Quadr" to completely capture all polygons of the selected part. You can also select single polygons. If selecting single polygons with the "Single" button, you first need to click once on the whole model. Then you can select them with the right mouse button i think. I don't have any problems with 1.07b, it works flawlessly on my Windows 7
Thnx for the late replies.
My Zmod run on windowsXP. Maybe I can install it on my windows 10 notebook.
I know how to select the polygones. The biggest problem is the Zmod crashes. Sometimes directly after importing the car.fce, sometimes when I try exporting the editted car.fce.

Is your ZModeler installed through the registry? This is the only thing i can imagine would be the problem. Is your XP OS native or is it a virtual machine?
"through the registry" Hmm..don't know, I just once downloaded Zmod 1.07 and installed it on my seperate comp. with Wxp.
Does your computer run Blender?
