Hi! I'm on a bit of a nostalgic tour, and I'd like to play some NFS:MW (2005) - especially after I found out there's this Redux mod out nowadays.
I installed NFS: MW BE v1.3 as one usually would and tested whether it worked. It did so without an issue, hurrah!
Sadly, after I copy over all the Redux V2.3 files to my fresh NFS: MW folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\yadda) the game starts behaving oddly. The text looks like "Minecraft Enchanting Table", to copy someones terms on Reddit. See below for what I'm on about.
Compatibility mode didn't work, reinstalling didn't work, admin mode didn't work... There's something in de Redux v2.3 mod that breaks things, but I don't know why. I'm on an up-to-date W10 Pro x64 with a 6700K and a 1070. Any and all advice is more than welcome!
I also increased all the settings in the Settings menu, but that just gave me an HD form of Enchanting Table. Setting WideScreen.ini to my 1920x1200 res also did not help.
The idiot was I.
Don't install to the system drive, install to a drive that does not require admin privileges like an E:\ drive or something.
