How would you folks like a revised and a little polyreduced version of Krystoff's '69 R/T Charger from Toca Race driver? just askin' ..
.. has new ODL (also working new side markers front and rear), realistic performance and is overall mesh and texture reworked as well as it comes with a little less polycostly textured GT wheels from Shelby Mustang GT ..
Not yet quite finished but I think that Charger is an iconic muscle isn't it ... ^-^
These Toca cars always come with those 'The stig' like drivers, planning to exchange that for a more or less default driver also these ugly bucket racing seats for an old authentic 'couch' - if I find a nice comfortable one that's not too much eaten out ... LOL =D
.. found a matching 'sofa' and Interior by chance now .. was been seen on a screenshot I posted myself :o
Is also Chrysler 'Mopar part' so more or less 'brands clean', from old Plymouth Roadrunner was cheap buy -LOL ;)
so restoring process can continue .. ^-^
This Car is one of many 4lower condidates.

@wisenheimers: Charger is not at all same as Challenger .. the Challenger is sister model to the famous Barracuda which is Valiant/Duster derivate and both Chrysler E-body platform so-called pony cars of 108/110'' wheelbase while Dodge Charger is full-size B-body muscle car by 117'' wheelbase so is much larger and heavier than them .. =D
Charger reworks got stuck a little folks .. found out that the Charger never had a front seater bench, it had seperated leather front seats ::)
Reason is it never had a column gear shifter like other cars of that time .. it was coming with only manual shifting that was placed on the cardan tunnel's large middle console .. that issue's throwing me back another day or two .. :-\

So I'm now trying to adopt another interior from Reggaeton's NFSCarbon converted Charger .. if it is not entirely possible I will try to at least import the seperate seats and other stuff from that interior ... ???
But be calmed will anyway get better than that dull plain grey interior it came with and the 'Stig' driver ^-^
You may now throw in that objection 'why don't you use the 'Carbon' Charger as a whole then ..' - well that's probably a justified objection but the outer dimension relations of the Charger do relate more to Krystoff's Toca Race Driver game converted Charger than that of the Carbon's Charger .. compare pics of it ... :o the 'Carbon' Charger is -as for my opinion- too flat and too wide ...

Is all black leather and dark stuff .. pity so is not much to be spotted there .. well

3D lenses for the headlights now added, textured lights completely removed ... Dunno should I still add ODL lenses to that? Polycount is now already by 4,5k polies / carmesh 769kB wow :o

No those are in-grille marker lights on the Gran Torinos ... that'll I have to do for the '75/'76 Furys as well as different tailllights headlights and stuff .. and if I manage to still I'll try to do also a Sheriff Rosco car on that base then ;)

Add: You can tell by the different roof colour I made some minor changes in mapping ...
so here's the car now for testing, it misses some sound files so you just copy them from EA Camaro, the full upload will then have Dixie horn ... or if you manage to you can also export the Dixie horn sound from Ocareng.bnk to .wav file and replace it in imported Careng.bnk from Camaro then ..

Just the new 2d rims just don´t work... the are too lowpoly to fit the rest of this very detailed car and completely stand out. The original wheels on Krystoffs conversion are beautiful and not too highpoly aswell... so for me this is a heavy downgrade that literally destroys every upgrade you did to this car

I did the base car in pre-VEG patch times as well so every single poly counted ... had a look at the original wheels from Toca again they're almost double the polycount of the textured ones, that would raise the car's polyload alot :-\
I also looked at the wheels from Reggaeton's Carbon Charger again, they have a much lesser polyload almost like the textured ones as an alternative, only thing is they look kind of distorted in length as you can also notice by ZModeler's attributes window of it .. must have happened during conversion, but if you insist on that I can tell Remko to again withhold the upload to exchange the wheels still?
That's then another day of correcting the Carbon's wheels' mesh and texture rework to also a brighter look but if it is worth the wait for you guys?
Add: Not too bad that thought folks ... compare last two pics, textured GT wheels with inner part (just the spokes textured area) hidden ... I like those wheels since they make a nicer in-game turning impression because of an odd-numbered edges count (15) instead of being 'symmetrical', that's why ...
Next pic is vice-versa the outer 'distorted' part of the Carbon's wheels hidden so just the spokes part is visible, there's not much of polycount left so perhaps an alternative to the textured inner spokes area of the textured ones if I combine both?

2nd Add: Just a 'quick'n dirty' insertion of the Carbon's wheels' spokes into the Charger's textured GT wheels ... didn't think it would work out that well ... just the textures have to be adapted to each other a little but I like the outcome too so far and is only 50 polies more then before per axle(!) makes 100 polies more for the whole car that's not too much ^-^

Here's final outcome of merging process so far ...
Polycount increased to 4565 polies that's little more than 60 polies to previous state, could delete some polies from the steering wheel as well as some of the body's rear lower part so carmesh .fce load is still kept below 800kB .. ;)
Final updated Charger in car menu (last pic) ... testcar w/o sound files is attached to next posting ^-^

I like the new trim with better wheels, here's another detail I added ... textured tire walls with that typical white lettering on them and also new mapped tires profile .. is even much better than before with that plain look isn't it .. how do you like it folks?

Wish I tried the test version, because I think the doorlines could be better.
that's another justified objection you bring in there thx noise but I'm afraid there isn't a lot I can do about it since the bodylines are only mapped and the .fce colour table (see 2nd attached pic) uses high saturation values (mostly full saturation) on the body mesh ingame except for the two light ones so nearly all texture details on the body are being superimposed by that :-\
I could've done 3D lines easily as well but thinking of polycount again .. well ::)
I have attached an increased in contrast Car00.tga file for you to test that issue .. notice the difference compared to default one I made but if you look at the in-game screenshot you can also notice the disadvantage of that -no comment- (that's how the original Toca texture looked like similarily in result .. if not even worse concerning bad colour stepping) ... :o
.. and on the brighter colours (the intense ones) you may not see any difference to the default one as well :-\
The high saturation colours are necessary since those screaming 60's/70's factory colours wouldn't otherwise come out clearly enough .. ^-^
So it's up to oneself perhaps to decrease the saturation values on the fce colour table for each colour individually since I left them unchanged and if one can live with the outcome in the end then .. ::)
