Does anyone of you coincidentally have an account or access to a 3D Model site?
As a long-term project I want to finally do a Citroën DS 21 from 3D model if possible, hard to do that from scratch because of its veeery complex design.
Thanks and Cheers
Frank
Hi there, no I don't have an Account, Frank what year, do you like most? I found a pic of this one) Sure doesn't look Easy to make. Nice Paris,France, car they said, it's front wheel drive this one is. https://www.classicdriver.com/en/car/citroen/ds-21/1966/412220

Have a nice week too, Sir ;)
Frank, guess you might try DoubleD's DS 19 for Carmageddon 2, a bit more earlier model, but might worth it. I remember playing around with that one for another game conversion 7 or 8 years ago - since somebody asked to do that. Quite reasonable in terms of polycount, too (like 5-6k if I'm not mistaken). Moreover, I still got more or less universal 3D Max format model on one of my HDDs.
Here it is:

Thanks Rider66,
.. that 's a nice early one and 5-6k is not impossible to do with a bit polyreducing and stuff for HS :)
That would also be a nice base for a French police car of the early sixties in plain grey with a white roof ... planning also to put a 'special' driver into that then .. think of the old Louis de Funès movies :D :D :D ('yes - no - yes - gnagnagnagnagna')

3DS can also be loaded by ZModeler without plugins, right?
Cheers

I just sent archive in PM, MAX+BMPs, guess you might want to take a look at it. Hadn't found my own ZModeler files yet with already prepared model, through - too much of different projects in my archives for many years, I guess.
3DS - yes, both 1 and 2 provides support for it.
As for model copyright - I'm pretty sure another convert is fine, but I'd better double check that with DoubleD himself as original creator, if he still can be found around the web.
As for de Funes movies... Yeah, that makes sense. Couldn't stand it but put that old Econobrick's 2CV as replacement for Knockout truck. It looks especially great on French tracks while playing split-screen knockout =D
Thanks alot Rider,
... and speaking of Econobrick's 2CV .. planning something concerning that car :D :D :D

I have loads of 3D model sites saved, Some you have to register on to download vehicles and other things some not. I also got a massive collection from TurboSquid that they "sell" and I give away :P.
@Rider66:
Cannot open the .max format :( .. thought is was in .3ds format, do you have a .3ds one or the Carma2 file?
@Paul: Is there a iDS among them available? :D

Frank, I left a PM with my old conversion. 3 formats total (3DS, Z3D, DFF), among which there are different stages in Z3D - from plain import up to game-ready stages. Let me know if there will be any questions.
Yeah, thanks again Rider!
I've downloaded it already, will have a look asap, currently finalizing the Citroën SM for an upload, finally ::)

I do not know what format iDS is but most are 3DS Max or simply .3DS but I have 3DS Max 2010 and can convert them to ZModeler 1 if you need. I'm at work now but when I get back home I'll see what cars I got.
Oh here is a nice Citroen DS19

Hey Paul, 'iDS' is not a 3D format but the name of my most beloved car ever, the Citroën (i)DS, 'la déesse' .. ;)
