Title: procedure of drifting.
Post by: Power^Steer|nG on Nov 10, 2006, 9:59 AM
I often see a program "Farmula D" on discovery and then i saw the movie "Tokyo Drift". I saw the cars drifing but i didnt get how a car drifts.  I am asking about the procedure, not the material specified for drifting. like what guys do.. on speed, the trun the steering and lift the handbrake...but let say u turn the steering to left and raise handbrake, car will then slip to right for a little time. but I noticed the tyres are turned to left and car is also slipping to left and then how do they control the car and keep it on track?

how how how?

Check youtube for Tiff Needle. He's got directions on how to drift in FWD, RWD, and AWD vehicles.

to be honest all it is is just kicking the back end of a vehicle out and just countersteering...but dont say that when you're in a group of drifitn purists...they'll have your neck.

Pretty much, yeah.

To put it simply:
lift-off, turn, boot the throttle, countersteer

But really, do go to youtube and search for Tiff Needle. He's drifted an Audi RS4 at, like, 80+deg

Or, you could simply play Outrun... :p

Outrun is terrible. :D Drifting doesn't even look real!

Yeah, but it's a simple, fun stress reliever

Yes. Of course. :D That's why that's my backup game. It takes significantly less RAM than MW, as in little till I can do an antivirus scan with Norton while playing it with little lag, and FYI, mine's only a 2.93Ghz with 512MB of RAM.

lol drifting is eeeeeeeeeasy in any game but haaard in rl.

in rl i can't help you seeing as how i don't have the ballz to drift on the streetz like dem cool kids do in tokyo!

but in game remember that handbrake is only useful for fwd cars, and even then it's not even drifting unless you're expert.

AWD is the easiest, sometimes you can just turn and floor it and the car will drift.
