Averaging about 1.5K each. Man, you're pretty darn good. I am frustated with making lowpoly models and now I'm working on my El Nino though I'll share that sometimes later in here.

ElNino is an intersting project; can't wait to see some pics. I also thought about creating an actual version. I made some sketches a few years ago.

And here is something new about the Z4; from now on the cars need different textures; here is the interior:

It's not the final edition. Freak-DS is going to improve some details. He is also going to help me with the wheels - pictures will come soon.

may I request that the NFS6 version gets more 3D details? (i.e: Steering Wheel, Front Grills etc.)

Nice projects :) Are you aiming for a certain poly-count?
Title: Re: Memphis' NFS4 Cars
Post by: Memphis on Oct 12, 2012, 8:32 AM
after i lost some data i canceled the Z4/SLK-Project.
At the moment I'm working on the 1989's Batmobile.
Here are some pics:

I hope this time I will be lucky and finish the project.
Title: Re: Memphis' NFS4 Cars
Post by: Cooya! on Oct 13, 2012, 4:42 AM
YAY!!! Memphis is back in business!!! Welcome back buddy.

A very nice start of the coolest batmobile of all times (maybe on par with the `66 Lincoln Futura one)
It´s a pitty that you abandoned the slk-z4-project since it was very advanced but this is a great comeback.
Will be hard to compete with Bob Roberts batmobile so hopefully yours will have a lower polycount ;)
Title: Re: Memphis' NFS4 Cars
Post by: Memphis on Oct 13, 2012, 9:42 AM
nice to read your lines, cooya!
Hope I can fulfill your wishes. But It's a hard job. I checked out Bob's Batmobile ~ around 10k. I think I can keep mine beneath. I'm aiming for about 7,5k.

But the biggest challenge on this project is the accurateness. There are tons of pictures of this car but most are replicas so I have thousand of different details. But I try to do it as movie-like as possible.
Title: Re: Memphis' NFS4 Cars
Post by: Memphis on Oct 14, 2012, 2:33 AM
5,2k polys at the moment:

I dare to say that 7,5 k seems to be rather optimistic ^^ But the model looks pretty cool so far.

just finished the project with 7686 polys. Hope I can remember how to put it into nfs4  ;)

for the first time i did some of the details with the texture instead of 3d-parts. Hope this will bring better reflections and lower polyount.

Title: Re: Memphis' NFS4 Cars

Yep - but no interior and very nfs4-style-damage.

And coming up next: The prevolution:

I wonder if anyone did this model ever before
Title: Re: Memphis' NFS4 Cars
Post by: noise on Oct 28, 2012, 3:06 AM
Prevolution is an american SF movie isn't it?, This ''car'' looks quite unusual.

I tried the Batmobile and I like it very much.Bob Robert's version has 10731 polies and that makes a view in the showroom impossible and slows down the game.Your version has no interior/driver, but that's still possible with 7734 polies. It's also dark grey which makes it possible to see more details.Great work
Title: Re: Memphis' NFS4 Cars
Post by: Memphis on Oct 29, 2012, 11:07 AM
thx. nice to read such positive posts.  :)

I got the word from "rise of the planet of the apes". the german title was " Planet der Affen: Prevolution"
It means that I'm working on the previous batmobile.

And here is an actual wip-pic:

I'm rly pround of the wheels. One wheel has 260 polys
Title: Re: Memphis' NFS4 Cars
Post by: Remko on Oct 30, 2012, 5:08 PM
Wow, you're already further than I thought! It looks absolutely awesome.

To answer your question: yes, a 1960's TV-show Batmobile was done before (I had to look it up on NFS Cars, the author was Michael Glisson), although it looked okay for 2001 standards, it obviously didn't have the detail this car will have. Great job with the Bat-logos on the wheels.

All-important question, though: will it have (Adam West) Batman as the driver?  :)

at the moment I'm done with most details. I will show new pics soon.
I think the turbine will be "dead" like on my fist batmobile. Hope you like it anyway.

Today I worked on another project:
When I bought my new frontbumper I put it on the 3D model of my Aygo too see how it would look. That was one year ago. Today I put this special Aygo Version into nfs4.
How do you like it?

I have been waiting long for that car in a proper quality. I was jumping up and down in excitement back when EA released the addon, so this is pretty fucking awesome ;) The Lister Storm is an absolutely uniquely styled car, and more important: popup headlights 8D
Keep up the good work ;)

dat Lister.
Title: Re: Memphis' NFS4 Cars
Post by: Memphis on Nov 11, 2012, 9:41 AM
Final polycount is 4332. I was suprised by myself.
Anyway; you can drive full grid :)

I hope I can release it soon but at the moment I've got some trouble with the fedata-files. Even if the fedata in the viv shows the correct data, it is incorrect ingame. Shown as class B Toyota Aygo ingame :(
Title: Re: Memphis' NFS4 Cars
Post by: Remko on Nov 11, 2012, 5:12 PM
In all honesty the Lister wasn't one of my favourite cars back in the day (mostly b/c of the styling) but it's a part of NFS history, and this looks amazing - great poly-economy too.
Title: Re: Memphis' NFS4 Cars

As unlikely as it seems, that sounds like a serial number conflict? Polycount is great by the way!

Make sure that there is no serial conflict like XJ220 said. Also, make sure that the car name and class are the same in all fedata files. Then it should be fine.

after another pause i want to proceed modelling.
First of all I want to finish my 1966 batmobile. There were just the interior and some details left.

Progress on the Batmobile, hooray!   :D
I had this as a 1/43 Corgi Toy car (still have it, in fact), so I'm looking at this with extra interest.
Any news on an actual Batman driver at the wheel?  ;)

Nice toy-car. but the red stripes are missing. I had the 1989 batmobile toy-car as a child - maybe this is why i prefer it.

By the way: I made a "Joker-Style" for the 1966th:

...and nice to see someone still reading and posting here :) thx

The level of detail is excellent... I don't like the car itself but personal taste aside â€" this will be a brilliant HS add-on!
