Title: T3ED Dev 3.3 (NFS4 Track Editor)
Post by: JimDiabolo on Jan 16, 2011, 10:41 PM
Here is my latest T3ED version :

T3ED_Dev3.3.0.33.zip (http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3019808/NFS_HS/T3ED_Dev3.3.0.33.zip)

T3ED_Dev3.3.0.33_with_sources.zip (http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3019808/NFS_HS/T3ED_Dev3.3.0.33_with_sources.zip)

New in T3ED_Dev3.3.0.33 :

- Change textures of trackpolygons, polygon & extra objects in one step. Choose the new lowest texture and all textures will be change with the same offset.

- Expand / Shrink (extra) objects is now possible. You can select each axis independent or connected. It’s selectable on which position the object will be aligned. (Top, middle or bottom.)

- Fixed light & sound source properties. Values can be changed directly in T3ED now, for thoose who don’t want to use the frd-tool.

- In point mode : Ctrl + Y -> copy X & Y position to memory, Shift + Y -> paste memory position to selected point(s).

Here's a youtube video how to use retexture & resize functions: T3ED (NFS4 Track Editor) Resize & Retexture Objects (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0K8VqKd2DSY)

I plan to do more changes, but it will take some time.

Great work on this old tool.

In edit modes, I see ''Edit AI drivelines''.But I don't understand how it works.

I like to change AI drvelines on Outback (nfs4 EP track). The cars always bounce against the rocks in the middle of the road, near the finish.

It's not implemented yet.

Yeah it's not implemented yet. I already got some ideas how it maybe could be done, but I have to learn step by step about the frd file struture. So I did things I currently was able to.

Jim, would there be a way to make c&p for point coordinates for two sepparately opened tracks possible? I'm trying to copy coordinates from track A and apply them to polies on track B, but that doesnt work. Any way to make this possible?

You are right, it doesn't work in the actual version. T3ED doesn't use the clipboard device. I was thinking of copying objects from one track to another, but point coordinates should be easier to start with. Next week I don't have to work. Maybe I start programming T3ED again.

@ Freak-DS: You want to combine Hometown / Country Woods resp. Atlantica / Aquatica, don't you? :D

I would love to see such combo. It will feel as if Free Roam came to HS.

I played around with the Clipboard for a while, and in this version copying coordinates from track A to B is working now.

New in Version 0.07pre1.1 Plus Dev 3.4 (by JimDiabolo) :

JimD, you rock!

In addition, I'm working with the copy paste function right now, which is working great. Another wuestion though, I have some concept in mind that makes fusing tracks more easy; If you could copy a whole block from track A, and paste it to track B and associate it to a certain block number, that would be great. Like that you would still have a sorta original block structure to obey the polycount rendered at once. The mapping could still be assigned manually. Do you think something like that would be possible, too?

The clipboard device was confusing me for some time, but after it's working now I'm thinking of copying objects from track to track as next step. Maybe whole Blocks will follow. But because I'm not that familiar with C++ I have to make small changes. I've already tried big changes, but it failed.

Trial and error is way to go I guess. Thanks for putting all that time in there, dude!
